Well bless my soul, me writing a blog eh eh who would have thought it, I don't know what to write now I am sat here staring at a blank page, I know two things which really chaf my arse. 1, Smilies and pretty things : Why can I not get smilies to stay on my pc ?, one minute they are there and then they are gone and I have not had the chance to send any, you see the add, MAKE YOUR FREINDS SMILE send them a smiley, ha what a joke all I get back is what was that suppose to be , so my frustration is then passed on to some totally innocent freind . 2, Why can I not get the idea of the PSP software, I make nice pictures and finish them and poof! gone, wrap image, layer image this and that re size, I know roughly what I need to do but alas when I go for the help button, it is like being cast into an obyss, as no one anywhere in the whole wide gallaxy has suffered the same problem. I speak with you guys here and show you a pic and two minutes later BANG its back re done, re sized, and looking absolutely perfect, and here I am it took me two week just to be able to get it onto the site...maybe I should stick to Crayola's, so when you see a stick man with pink body and green legs, three fingers on each hand and giant feet, yeah you got it.....ITS ME...

Ha ha, wondered how long it would be before the black cat would cash in on crossing in front of me, again it is the time of goodwill to A/all men, oh and crashing into their car and driving off without reporting it or leaving a message and letting him foot the bill for doing absolutely naff all, think I may be getting a little bitter(Don't think placing their privates in a grinder would be too harsh ) so I am left without me wheels til they fix it, a new door 400 pound, re spray of front wing, front door and rear door 300 pound and new front suspension spring on the front supplied and fitted 95 pound and tracking for wheels 20 pound total bill 815 pound + vat + Labour....Merry Bloody Christmas . After a walk in the woods with the dogs and spitting at a few squirrels it didn't seem so bad after all for a pound of flesh my insurance company offered a lifeline, though the excess is enough to be out of pocket at this present moment in time, so I think I will have to go into the escort agency again , so if I may ask if any know of any mature Ladies (Upright and breathing by themselves will do ) give me a bell for a good time ;D, competitive rates, none union membership

OK where to begin, this year is starting to look a little better than last, though much more has happened in the first two month of this year than the first six month of last. Went into hospital on the 18th of jan, had my op on the 19th, it was to by pass an artery in the back of my knee which had succumbed to an embalism, apparently something to do with my job as a Trucker and my seating position for some length of time, I ride my pedal cycle around 70 miles per week, or should I say did, but I am looking forward to getting back on it again. I thought it would just be two small scars but unfortunately ended up with just one about 23 inches from start to finish, so now I have five week off work for R & R with the veiw of learning to walk again, though it is coming on pretty good, at the time of going to press 06/02/09 I had my dressing removed and my first fully submersed bath for some weeks, (All important bits washed regularly) don't want you guys to think I smell of anything other than rose petals? I have had loads of support from you guys online and for that I give a huge THANK YOU, I am just managing to stay awake long enough to get some time online in the room again now and also catch up with some of the posts again, it is good to see some familiar faces returning and I am so much looking forward to getting into full swing again.

Thank you for your posts, the staples where removed yesterday (all 118 of them) and now comes the walking bit again, I will never take it for granted, the ward I was on was full of amputees and the courage they showed was very humbling for me, it proved I don't really have a gripe with life, though it may really chaff my ass but foresight shows the surgeon was right, now to the mending process and back to work, as soon as possible.

Well yesterday saw my first day back at work, in me last blog I was looking forward to it, WHY? I ache from head to foot, on Sunday the 1st I drove my car for the first time since January the 12th, it was great then today I am back in me truck, OMG how big are these things, its amazing how we take things for granted, I may have been piloting a Jumbo jet for the first time, the shift went without incident thankfully and I even got a smile from a old Lady who I stopped half the traffic in Newcastle for her to cross the road safely, it does pay back the time and effort in doing the job properly and puts everything into perspective for the time we spend doing our job which 95 percent of the public do not see, the truck on the road which you overtake is just a small part of the job and who knows I may one day blog from a HGV drivers point of view, but for now I shall go on quietly.

Finally got the Bentley road worthy again and went shopping with her Ladyship to Tesco and like a honey pot to a bee it immediately got a small dent in the door where someone had obviously parked there much more inferior motor too close to get their wide butt out, but that over we got some beans and bread for our weekly treat of Beans on Toast nothing better in the morning to read the papers over, see how me shares are doing and the ft index, all seam to be going the same way down, but alas I can breath on me own so theres a plus, unless your her Ladyship then it becomes another daily chore of putting up with me mood swings and bad habits, nose picking and farting competitions with the grand kids, Chloe the proper little lady now turns her nose up in discust but Kaylah being the inquisitive 16 month old thinks its great, yep you guessed it Chloe spends far too much time now with her mum and nanny probably unknown these are both of course natural enemies of all grandads. So for Dreamy another little insight in to the dank and wonderous world of a Trucker.LOL, had to bring out the anti (Lady of the night poster) the other night, I only stopped to pick up a drink at a petrol station in Preston with my fellow driver, whilest checking me paperwork the passenger door opened and a sprightly dressed young lady stood looking up into the cab, her flowing locks of dark hair flowing in the night breeze, the breeze tugging at the bottom of her already short skirt, she was showing a little of her thigh above where the knee stockings stopped and the skirt started her blouse oppened to a dangerously low point that if the young lady needed to run and seek shelter from the elements she would surely need to tuck certain lady parts back into their holders, she smiled her soft smile whilest I could only look like a all knowing owl over the top rim of me glasses and in tone of such beauty posed the question...Do ya want bizziness mate, I was immediately honored this young filly had chosen me truck to adorn with such artistic poise, thinkin well man yer still got it...whatever IT was, and just when I was glowing with self assurance she offered her price list. Taken aback my immediate thought was the young lady wants money from me for such, well I have done many things but never paid before me boyish good looks and god like physique had normally done it for me before, it was at this time I had to use tact and revoke the attentions of the young lady and let her down gently I said No thank you my dear and you really should wrap up against the cold, she muttered to herself of her dissapointment, the tears flowed as she curtly closed the door and walked off into the night.

;D Surely if one has a Bentley then the servants do the grocery shop hmmmm *chuckles* I had my car scratched the other day by some inconsiderate person........mind you, that not what I called them at the time!
I can actually see the picture you are painting *L* poor lady of the night......
I remember my Dad would often tell us about hitch-hikers he would pick up, I guess for the company mostly when he was away all week. The roads were not so good back in those days and it took him an age to get to Scotland or Wales on long distance deliveries......anyway, he told us about this young guy he picked up, forget where he was headed, but he made the mistake of putting his feet upon Dad's dashboard *L* poor guy had to walk the rest of the way *S* Gosh Reps you have invoked a lot of memories for me today *S* Keep those adventures coming......Keep on Trucking!!

Oh Dreamy, feet and dashboards do not work especially when they are not the drivers as the truck is his baby, his home and a guest would not put their feet up on your coffee table it is sacrilage an offence worse than running of with his woman......or close..LOL.
Glastonbury now that was hectic for hitchers, five wagons ran from Chesterfield to Collumpton a round trip of around 13 to 14 hours by the time you tipped out and re loaded, all equiped with CB's what a hoot the laughs, anyway I digress, the start of our journey saw us joining the motorway network at junction 29 of the M1 travelling through past Birmingham and eventually onto the M5 to Junction 13 or 12 anyway the hitchers would wait on the slip, we could carry two maybe three with two sitting on the bottom bunk, the outward trip was great we would stop at Micheal Wood sevices for a comfort break and a warm drink, then down to our drop, we would drop them at Bridgewater services for them to go on, though we never seem to pick them up for the trip back..(Wonder why!!!) A week in a field phew no sorry not in a confined space...LOL People today would be amazed at how many people still hitch hike and you get to see all aspects of life, from soldiers who missed their train to drivers who's vehicled have been re possesed from under them whilest they slept because their company had gone bankrupt you do see life for sure...

So many adventures you can share hmmm....... I do remember Dad had a tale to tell every Friday evening when he arrived home. He would bring home a bag of something or other, a deal or swap with another lorry driver.......always remember the bag of chocolate 'Tools' we enjoyed for weeks *L* I think they must have had some kind of code of the road, perhaps still do *S* I hope so. Of course we had no phone back then, but I had a map and found out so much about the UK and where he would be. I realise now how difficult it must have been for my Mum, not being able to speak to him unless it was in an emergency as the neighbours across the road did have a phone.....remember those black Bakelite ones with the thick cord! *LOL* Ohh my......those were the days. Keep on Trucking Reps. xxx

Ohh the tales indeed, some very funny some a little tragic and some downright disgusting.LOL. The time when I had worked a 15 hour shift I had travelled from Sittingbourne to Preston and then into the old Leyland depot for a return load, they where shut so had to bed down for the night, security would not let me use their facilities so washed in the cab and to say the least had to use my imagination for the other facilities, it isn't very gentleman like anyway, the swaps do still happen more nowadays with the foreign drivers, the Brits think their jobs are crap, try being a Slovakian driver or Polish or Lithuanian, they come over with their loads then sit and sometimes wait 3 to 4 weeks for a backhaul home, so they swap things not always for money but souveniers, I think the last thing I had was a 'Togolosh" suppose to be a African fertility figure..BOL..(Don't work though) I got a good deal cos I swapped a mates Manchester United top for it so I got the better of the deal, in the past it has been Coke bottles and bottles of the stuff lasts for months, Bacon oh boy that was a pig mountain and a half I shall tell of that next I think.

Hmmm . . . almost seems like another planet, so far beyond my limited experiences . . although a girlfriend and I DID hitchhike to Rapid City South Dakota once when we were young and immortal. Nearly 400 miles in one very long day, and oh the characters we encountered along the way! You know, Rep . . I think I could listen to you spin a tale about mowing the lawn and it would be impossible not to hang on every word!

When I first began to drive the company then hauled general food stuff mainly tinned, bottled pop, cans etc etc, well we delivered for a large Cash & Carry company, well laugh I turned up at their Luton depot and there where staff standing about with brushes and mops they had cleaned the fridge area, what had happened a fridge had lost its temperature and the food inside had to be got rid of, not being one to turn down a freebie, cheekily I asked what they where doing with it, the manager said if you want some take it, I turned to see five huge tubs on wheels full of best bacon, OMG, being civil I asked how much (meaning money) he said as much as I could carry, so I lifted the pods under me cab and packed them full, temperature was not a problem as they where well ventilated and it was november, when I parked up that night with the other guys we got the frying pans out and went to asda for some bread, I was eating the stuff for weeks after that, we had it in the freezer, fridge K had her fridge full the mother in law too, those where the days, then there was coca cola with the free vend bottle machines, they allowed four litres per visit, we delivered twice a day...Trucking has a good side unfortunately then you have to drive on the roads of UK where some people think they are more important than others, I feel another story coming on, when I held up the A19 at thirsk because a driver was intimidating another driver........
