A close friend from from Webmaze brought me the news this afternooon and then said I might want to read Kyles post on the forum. For some of us who have been in roleplay for as many years as we have, might have met her over the years as I have. Rachel's player was only in her early 30s. My prayers are with her family as they grieve. forum post

Thankyou for passing this to us Caera......I did not know the lady in question, but my thoughts go out to her family and friends at this most saddest of times. I am sure many will have fond memories they can share and take comfort from.
I wish all peace in their hearts and time to heal.

I had been gone most of February on my honeymoon and vacation.
I knew Rachel in RP for many many years. I am just in shock and saddened. She could weave a story and maintain storylines for so many with her own hands. She even held plays of Sex and the City, Friends to name a few with people playing different roles and you never knew what was going to be ablibed.
I shall say a prayer for my friend Rach and that she might be at peace. I feel for her family and hope they too find solace that she is no longer in pain.

I've never known the lady, but the passing of someone who was a friend to so many, who shared the most wonderful passion for storyweaving is a tragedy. I will send up prayers for her and her RT family as well as those who lost a friend they knew through this wonderful fantasy world of ours.

Ours is a world of fantasy. One where we folk, from so many varied lands and walks of life meet, interact, and form friendships that were unthinkable a handful of years ago.
Our shared passion for telling/reading/living a story....brings us together...each for our own reasons. But each bringing something unique....somethiing special.
We don't all meet every other player, but we hear of them often. We see another's rp on the boards, we smile, we laugh....sometimes cry when the story is sad.
Those we do meet touch us. They make us remember. They are our friends.
I never, to my knowledge, met Miss Rachel. But maybe I did. In the way she influenced those that played our game with her. In the marks she has undoubtedly left behind. In her love of our little fantasy world......for that she has my thanks.
If I had my wish.....my fantasy....not a one of us would ever be sick....hurt....or pass on. But since none of you listen....*smiles warmly at all our sick and injured family members reading this*
We all touch each other in some way......and I am thankful for each person that I have met....those that I have yet to meet....and those that I never will.
Yes....this is our escape from reality for a time.....but so very much, it is a stronger tie to it.
Funny how I ramble on.....but something struck a cord.
Thank you Miss Rachel,
Thank you all.

Just had to say Galor.......your words are beautiful and they certainly touched me. I am sure Miss Rachel would be so very pleased to know she was thought of with such affection....what more can any of us hope for when we have left this world.....to be remembered with a smile and love in our hearts.
Thankyou Galor, for reminding me just how wonderful people can be. xxx
