As a member of Creativity chat forum, I received an email today with the following information. This looks really exciting and perhaps is where Windstorm should be in the near future. I have often wondered of us moving to a more supportive and busy site and it looks like this could be it. Windstorm going home perhaps....as it was situated in AR when I first joined. Food for thought, and I would welcome comments as to your views on the possible move please. As you all know, especially those with me during the crash of '07, my main priorities for this site have been SECURITY, STABILITY, and CUSTOMER SERVICE
Recently, an opportunity presented itself in which I could increase all 3 of those.. and do it at lower costs to all of you for your memberships,.. and ADD PERKS to those memberships
And I have agreed to move us in that direction..
As of Friday, THIS Friday, October 30th, we are merging with AlterRealms
A BRAND NEW SITE..not CC.. not AR.. starting fresh in a partnership with Martin and Blinky and myself as Owners of this new venture and bringing the best both sites have to offer into this merger..

Well I was going to announce it here when the site went live this Friday but you beat me to it!...lol
I'll just add here for those that don't know, I'm Bella, the Medieval Fantasy Realm Coordinator at CC of late, and now the Medieval and Historical Realm Admin at the new site Portal of Dreams.
It would be an obsolute honour to have all you wonderful players and members as part of our community. Whatever you decide I respect it totally!
And if anyone has any questions about the site, I am happy to answer them!

You know I have often thought of moving WS...nothing quite so deflating than sitting in an empty room on an empty site! At least it would not feel so lonely *L* Will see what Eddie thinks...and the rest of council/Members....will be in touch. xxx

For those who don't know me... I am Hippolyta, one of the managers over at PoD. -s- As well as the room owner of Lost Worlds and the newly opened Fagravik - both of which will be in the Medieval and Historical section.

 Thanks Hipp.....it looks like a super place and can only be a goodly thing for all players worldwide. With so much support from the owners and admin, it cannot fail. Wishing you all well with it and hoping we can get to move......change is so often just what people need. xx Perhaps the one question would be how much will it all cost?

Well, for those thatknow me, know I am a part of the site already. I am a Moderator for a couple of rooms there, and I am okay with the moving. You would have a Mod there if needed of course in me. *S*

Thankyou for the input everyone  Sofia....It was never my intention to confuse anyone, I simply posted an email I received with news of a new site. It is only a possibility that we may move, I have emailed council and await their views. Eddie has been away so it will probably take her a while to catch up etc. It was only a suggestion and as I stated in my first post...Ideas, thoughts etc are always very welcome. I will repeat to save any further confusion of lostness......This is only a suggestion, an idea, a thought.....nothing will be confirmed until we hear from Eva and the rest of council. I suggest you make yourself familiar with the message forum...link posted in my first post...it does look like a goodly place to be. BUT that is just my opinion. *Slips away to get excited about my Son's Wedding on Saturday and gets busy!* |

Hmm, registered at that site .... takes a while to find one's way around.
I'd prefer to stay here with our boards, but if they have a nice room setting, why not move the room!?

Sinny these are our boards and they stay with us wherever we move, or not  It would be the room we move....to a different hosting site is all. There would be lots of peple there we already know in one guise or another and more frequented rooms than our current site, perhaps more opportunity to play. Anyway....enough of my waffling. I have sent another message to Eva and hope to discuss it next week after the Wedding. I shall wish you all a wonderful weekend and hope to see you in the room as time allows. |
