Having felt his Captain's touch and heard his firm but quiet command, Jean raised up off his elbow from his leaning position and went aft to the Captains cabin, Hearing the orders given by Remard to the others as he walked away.
Jean opened the door for the Captain and waited for Him to enter before following and closing the door behind them. Remard explained what had happened during his stay as to the sentence received by Darek from the ignoble King of this land and how the Viking were running rampent with free reign in the Castle. Shaking his head at this news his dark brown eyes wide at the gall of the insults put to his Captain. The he watched in silence as Remard sat down and wrote out a message Jean couldn't read but it didn't matter the scroll was not for him anyway.
Dark eyes followed Remard as he took a small purse from a casket and shook it a few times. The sound of coins jingled inside, Jean understood that it was probably for buying passage on another ship to France and hoped Eurich understood that as well. Then listening to what Remard wanted of him, Jean smiled thinking it would at least give the Frank Sailors a bit of dignity back by putting one over on these cursed English as aplan came to mind.
Following his Captain out of the cabin he went over to where the men who had been wounded lay on the deck, and in a dirisive tone began to berate the men for having been overcome in their plan to bring back the Viking. With snide comments and barbs he struck a chord in one of his fellow shipmates one named Claude who had been giving aid to Rigunth rose up and could take no more instantly Jean and Claude joined into a brawl and as Claude closed up the space between the two Jean whispered hurriedly to him to make it look really good. Swings were then exchanged and connected and soon the two men were near the opening in the bulkhead where it went to the gang plank.
The sounds of the scuffle brought all eyes of the Guards turn to the gang plank of the ship, they stood ready just incase the two fighters come rolling down the gangplank..

Laying alongside the Forell, Eurich bit his nails, peeking up nervously from underneath his tarpin cover, hoping Captain Remard would be quick in whatever he was planning to do. Time was running short, what if one of the guards would detect him in the boat? Or just the boat itself, wondering why it was drifting alongside the Forell?
Once Eurich had the note and purse, he immediately felt better. Carefully he detached the note from the arrow and scanned over it. It was addressed to Captain Remard’s uncle, so he didn’t pay any more attention towards it, but secured it in the inside of his shirt. He then opened the purse, and in there he found another small note:
Use this coin to get passage to Frankia, use a port to the east. The letter bring to my uncle Vinzelles de Sennis. Mention my name and you will be heard and be shown to him. Be quick and safe! RdS
Grimly Eurich nodded and stuffed the note back into the purse. Now he had several choices: he could let the small boat drift off out to the harbour entrance. It would be risky during the day, the guards could easily see him. Or he could wait until night time…
Just then a commotion broke out on the other side of the Forell. Eurich could hear shouting… insults, the crashing of wood against wood… something was going on aboard.. maybe now or never, Eurich thought and therefore pushed his boat off the Forell, in direction of the harbour entrance. Clouds loomed on the horizon, they didn’t bear well for the weather in the next few hours. Maybe a storm was brewing…. It would keep the damn guards away from the harbour or at least preoccupied.
Closer and closer Eurich came to the entrance until finally his boat rounded the eastern wall of the port and for all intents and purposes seems to be out of sight of the guards who, Eurich hoped, were still busy clearing up that brawl on the Forell.

The contrived battle between Jean and Claude was doing it's work. It had brought the focused attention of all The Guards that stood on the dock to watching the brawl, two of them were even betting on which sailor would win.
As a break came from the fighting, both combatents breathing hard, Jean looked over to His Captain on the other side of the ship watching as he dropped his message and purse over the side to Eurich, leaving himself wide open for a roundhouse right cross from Claude, Jean went down like a ton of bricks and laid still. Oh that was so going to hurt in the morning when he awoke..........
