The rumours had swirled about for months of course. It had not come as a surprise to any, really. There had been letters, hours of pouring over contracts, and then finally a yule ball the day after the yule period ended. In the end, in a moment between the dancing and eating and feasting, it had been queen Caera who had made the announcement official, and in doing so remembered the losses as well as the continuations of life.

I am glad to announce the joining of two royal houses. Prince Gregor of the house of Jelckama in Fryseland and Lady Edfeil, Queen of Windstorm have made an agreement to pledge their troth this summer."
