Such strange fellows they were, these men from foreign lands.....mind she had met others who she had truly not understood in more ways than just their attire and speech. At least they were making an effort to impress......pondering just why as she led them towards their rooms.
Then the awful moment when they were both upon the floor, ruffles rather ruffled and legs entwined, arms flailing about......oh my.....she really had to still her laughter then. How awkward a moment this was! Her instincts were to aid them to their feet but she though better of it, lest she too would become entangled in the ruffly mess!
"Oh M'Lords.......do be careful, we do nae wish ye to be harmed whilst ye be our guests! "
They brushed themselves down amid a puff or two of peculiar powder and the mumbling was evident they were not amused at all.
A few more steps would find their rooms, ajoining with clean bed linen a warm fire burning in the hearth and refreshments laid out on a small table. Their luggage had been delivered while they had been received by the Queen. She curtsied once more and hoped they would be comfortable, informing them that dinner would be served in a short while.......giving them time to recover and rest.
As she closed the door, she could not help but allow a little giggle to escape into her hand, quickly lifting her skirts and making her get away!
((Took the liberty of placing you both here to refresh and re powder! lol ))

(Thank you oh Dreamy one! LOL)
Once they were all settled in the rooms Henri would step into the Ambassador's, leaning on the wall and shaking his head
"Vell zat was a vonderful first impression, non? Zey must zink ve are the beegest eediots zis side of ze ocean!"
The Ambassador, who was now breathing easier due to be out of the cat's way, strokes his chin with his finger and thumb before lifting the sniff box to his nose and inhaling deeply, letting it out slowly he speaks as he lowers it once more
"Better to let zem zink Ah am an eediot zen to zink Ah am after zomething else, non?"
Henri pushed himself away from the wall, thinking on that for a moment and then nodding with a sly smile, bowing to the Count
"Mais oui, Ambassador. 'ere, let me re-powder 'oo before ve go to officially see ze Queen."
Henri was freshly re-powdered and made quick work of the Ambassador before having a servant woman inform the Queen they would meet with her on the morrow, when the Ambassador had gotten some rest. He wondered why they went through all the trouble of re-powdering but it was what the Ambassador wanted so it would be done. Looking to the Ambassador he gives that sly smile once more
"So 'oo do not zink zey suspect?"
The Ambassador shakes his head, his forefingers steepling in front of his lips
"Mais non, zey cannot. Ever."
