Waking early, knowing this will nae be an easy day. She Will make good on her promise to attend to the task that she knows will be appreciated by the survivors of the kingdom of Caerfarnon. She will see to it that living symbols of their lives will be dedicated to help all retain the memory of those who passed into the next world. Today this needs to be done and will be delivered, when they assemble to leave upoon a ship to attend the services in Casle Caerfarnon. she hopes with the help of all members, guests and servants of Windstorm, to get the job done to perfection.
Pulling on her old gardening boots, and putting an apron over her dress, pulling back her hair, she scurries down the stairs through the main hall and into the Garden. Looks around, and thinks a bouquet will be appreciated, perhaps lady Dream’s daughter will pick her mother a grand bouquet for her mother this day…. ?
Takes off running towards the stable. .. not taking the time for any chit chat she addressses the matter head on.
· "Good Morning Dear Perrren, it is with a heavy heart that I need to ask thee for thy assistance and perhaps thee know a few more strong men that can assist us. Would you make ready a wooden sided sled and hitch up one of our workhorses for the task that I have promised to make good on. Seeing her guards standing behind her, addresses him, Corporal, would thee also help me as I am about to go out and find some young hearty strong saplings for gifts to take to the funeral this day. "
Runs to the back of the Greenhouse and Gathers a half dozen half wooden barrels and lifts them one by one all by herself onto the sled, as she waits for Perrren to ready the horse. She knows he will follow her as she quickly moves towards the various locations where the trees of her desire grow in abundance.
Picking up a specially hand forged shovel made by the King himself she walks off towards the orchards, and looks around. Thinking she will return here again knows that she must go to the forest for what she desires to take first. Running with her shovel towards the edge of the forest seeing first the newly budding light green willows.
She stops and tenderly touches and examines each young sapling from the great mother tree. Finidng one that is hearty and heady of new growth, feels the ground for its roots…. She tkaes no time as she starts piercing the earth with her spade, encircling the tree. Taking out a sprig of sage, sweet grass and tobacco, she lights it with the flint…. And waving the smoke about the area, says her prayer.
“ Great spirit of the forest Please forgive me for taking lives from thee.... for I do take not destroy, but to honor. As you give life and beauty to us all, I ask now for you to give strength and peace to shoes that weep. In the holes from which these trees rise, shall I offer always a token of peace betweens thee and us mere mortals who seek to give of our spirits to those who need us now. Thee will now live in another Kingdom and honor those who have departed and thought thee will live serving us all.”
* Bows her head, resting on her knees, bends over kisses the mother willow tree golden trunk, wraps her arms around her, holds her while listening to her inner core whispers, knowing her prayers have been answered and accepted.
The willow represents the tears that flow freely from the hearts of all who loved Queen Caera Anne and all who perished with her.
Moves on and finding her favorite Grandmother and Grandfather oak, treads the earth until she finds a sturdy young Oak tree alive with new growth and leaning towards her to free him, and give him full sun so that he can grow up strong and regal. Digging yet around in a circle around him, finds his roots very healthy and able to support life for hundreds of years to come. Again she says her prayer and waves her cleansing smudge about. The oak represents the strength of those who now rest in the bosom of the realm of the nest world.
Seeing the maple, smiles, remembering the sweet sap they pump from their own lives force, sweet syrup that has sustained and nourished for thousands of years. Proceeds to do once again the dance of making a circle around the tree’s root and once again stops and gives reverence to the Grandfather and Grandmother maples, and does her prayer once more, waiting for a sign. The maples sap run forth and she gathers in her h and, and sips it, as she looks up at them in reverence. The maple represents the sweet gentleness that flowed freely into the veins of Queen Camera.
Finally she goes to the grove of her Father’s own favorite and her personal favorite, the Blue spruces. And in the mornings sweet aromas she finds a perfectly formed three-foot tall spruce, which she has been tending since its conception. Once again she digs tenderly around it and lifts is softly with dirt still intact out of the ground. Waiting for the sled to come, she once again does the smudging and asking again permission to take from nature, which she knows, will be freely given for this sad time. The blue spruce, for its aroma never dies. IT represents even in the coldest of natures storms and even in the bitter winter it never despairs, but lives on, as the spirits of those who have died shall never pass from our hearts, and their perfect blue green hue will always be a reminder to us all that they too have nae left our hearts.
Knowing the Lady Edfeil desires and fruit trees and she herself some Holly bushes, spots a whole bed or the sweet Holly, and she looks carefully at their flowers, finding a male, prays while she digs him up and taking a yellow ribbon form her hair, ties it into one of his branches so that they will know him to be the Alfa male and digs up two females and again saying her prayers…. Looks around, waiting for Perren to come with his wagon and help lift all into the half barrels.
Just one more tree, a fruit tree…. Running back to the orchard, looks around and wandering about looking for new saplings…. Hopes Lady Dream, Edfeil, Andrea, or Halentha, or anyone that knows more of the orchard than she will come to her rescue….
Knowing there needs to be notes written to accompany each tree and al need to be loaded and wait in arrival of the boat that is to take them all to Castle Caerfarnon, she looks to t he rising sun and hopes someone will help her now with the rest of this tribute.
