Golly gosh.........it really is here, the first day of December....... may the new month bring peace to your hearts and many smiles to your faces! Just so you know, it is not Robin's Birthday today, although the calendar says so........not sure how to change that *S* but I suppose he could have 2 special days! I am in the midst of changing desks and computers here and thus shall possibly be offline for a few days........ so until soon..........stay well and safe.

Huh . . I just wonder how good ol' Robin got on the calendar twice . . *grins*
We officially have winter here in the middle of nowhere . . blistering cold, to boot. Bleck . . Of course, the snow never just "lies" there after it falls, but MUST be sculpted by a north wind before things are said and done, and it's so sparkly and white yet it's almost blinding. Almost pretty . . especially viewed through a window.
I survived doing chores while my husband was gone a few days . . frozen water fountains and escaping calves notwithstanding. They're still all alive, at least. Baked cookies, started addressing greeting cards, but mostly just did nothing . .
Ohhh! And my Vikings won! Big time! *laughs* Fairweather football fan that I am . .

Dream, I will keep you very high in prayers and hope that evrything goes well beyond expectations. Escaping calves? That sounds like an intersting story. I am trying to build up life again since baby seems to be getting a tiny bit kinder about not needing to be entertained every single minute of the day. Empty and clean the counters for the first time in ages, empty the table, my desk... now the only thing we need is a big, big basket to put all the kid stuff in that stays in the living room. There seems to be slowly a rhythm developign for baby. We're still far from sleeping through the night, but now that I do get three hours at least once a night, I at least can see straight! It's great to be here again. *G* And congratulatiosn on the football win, Letha. MY beloved husband was rather dissapointed when Missouri lost last night. BTW>>> how is everyone doing on holiday preparations?

mmm well where do I start....an update in my world, had an accident in the truck on the 1st, wind blew me into a parked car, unfortunately he was stationary and I was travelling at 56miles per hour, thankfully we both walked away with just scratches, the guy had decided he was tired and fell to sleep in his car at the side of the motorway the police told me I could be charged with driving without due care and attention cos I hit him(so I like sponge cakes and don't forget the file), I have just recovered after tipping a large cage of paint on the back of my leg another trip to hospital , I have my own parking space now, then the specialist has told me I need to see him again in January, so stopping smoking guys is not always good for your health ;D. I am ready for Christmas I think, I hope, I have stocked up on JD so if my words are jumbled when I come online that may be the reason.. Glad to see tho the young Prince is settling and giving you guys time now, The 'Vikings' dear oh dear, Pittsburgh has got to be Number ONE.. ;D Dreamy all that cleaning, LOL took me four hours to de frost the freezer the other day, I didn't know it has got a special button I have become domesticated recently, though I haven't started dressing in pink yet I am becoming to like the color... Catch up with you all later for now got to do me smalls, now then is it softener of starch? ? Best Regards to A/all from my heart forever yours Reppie

Poor Repsol! I do hope all is well now As for the hard shoulder incident, I would have thought the sleeping man was at fault! Silly policemen Still, the best thing is you are both ok and able to look forward to Christmas. I shall make ready with the sponge cake just in case Letha I want some of that snow! it is still horrid here with wind and rain! to all.

Pooh . . checked allllll my shoes, must've missed the good list . . What'd He bring your wee Bairn, especially now that's HE'S been good enough to let you online more often??! *Laughs* That does it, Dream . . I'm sending you some of my "fake" snow so you can at least pretend . . *hugs* Heh . . if your Steelers beat New England on Sunday, you might have me a bit closer to being convinced, Rep . . and yikes, you sound like a little JD (I assume that doesn't mean John Deere) might be permissible after your tribulations. I'm more ready for Christmas than I can ever remember . . it's almost scary! Though I know me well enough to know there's sure to be things I've overlooked . . *grins* And of course, I've waited until the last minute to be inspired for some of the more special gifts that are going to take a little time to assemble . . . silly me . . Don't y'all just love the music this time of year? (*laughs* by the actual day, it'll probably have become annoying . . )

Pooh . . checked allllll my shoes, must've missed the good list . . What'd He bring your wee Bairn, especially now that's HE'S been good enough to let you online more often??! you know, I of course think my baby is smart, but he should not be able to READ yet. Each time when I put anywhere that he is doing a tiny bit better, he goes back to fussy mode!!! The last three nights have been less than three hours of sleep again, andneeding to hold him all the time during the day.... However, his aunt Sarah gave him a playgym for christmas that arrived and he seems to be able to amuse himself for a few minutes again. Last night my husband took him out for a walk and I made homemade speculaas (think windmill cookies0 which is a St. Nicholas treat from Belgium. The good Saint brought my baby a teething ring, my husband a tie caddy and me Tolkiens Unfinished tales! I love Christmas time too, Letha. I miss going out to the shops, not to buy stuff, but to listen to the music and be slightly amused at everyone who still needs to do their shopping. This time... I fear I am the one who still needs to do the shopping. I fear that people will get their gifts by Epiphany this year instead of Christmas! I am so late, but there is nothing that I can do about it.

*giggles* Aww Edie, he can't read, he's just psychic! How else could he just KNOW when you're talking about how well he sleeps...or when you're starving and need food...or when yer allll set to slide between the sheets and get comatose.....and react appropriately right on cue hehehe The trick is, never actually mention those things out loud, then ya don't jinx it so often

*laughs* she may be right, Edie . . or so it seemed too often to argue! And try not to fret too much about all the things you just simply have to let go of for the time being. You'll find yourself pausing now and then amidst all the exhaustion and treasuring things you never expected to suddenly become so meaningful. Snippets more than long luxurious panoramas . . yet equally as memorable. It's been demonically cold here (down to 16 below zero Friday night, windchills even worse!) . . with little relief in sight. Mercifully, the vehicles still start up, and I'm hoping against hope all the shivering is good exercise!

Baby behaved very nicely in Church today. Afterwards we went on a walk through to the new, unfinished parish life center. I think the building is wonderfully set up, though the samples of carpet and paint that they have up are autrocious. Whoever thought that mustard would be a great wall colour? I do love the set up though. This new parish life center will have a meditation garden and lots of much more practical space than the old one. My husband and I seem to be so much in demand these days at the church. He has just been aproached to become a member of the finance commitee, to which he will probably agree since it only envolves four meetings a year. I have been contacted to become a fairy grandmother (don't laugh) to the school, which would mean that on friday afternoon I will go there and teach the children a craft. I am inclined to accept for several reasons: One, I hope in a few years to perhaps have a part time teaching position at that school, for which this of course would be a great introduction. Two, there is a good chance I can bring the baby with me (the only way I can accept as it is during day time hours), which makes it an extra outing amongst other people for me, without having to shell out for a babysitter or asking my husband to work at home. Three, it's close by and will allow me to walk there, so there should be no transportation issues. And four...I would like to take up some form of teaching again. Lastly, this program adds to the schools points when it is reviewed as it is considered an 'enrichment program'. The school director is suposed to contact me, so.... let's see what happens!! Hopefully doing this with baby in tow will be possible.

*Sits in the class with his grey sox rolled down round his ankles his knees red with the cold, his shorts untidily tied with his grey and red school tie, his cap slanting to the left of his head, half of his collar sticking out from under his grey jumper, two little green streamers race eachother to his top lip from his nose, he raises a hand and asks Miss Eddie if he can go weeeeeeeee*
