April.......gosh, time does fly as one gets older *L* Wishing you all a most wonderful new Month.
Today is an incredibly warm and beautiful morning thus far......the birds are singing, my washing machine is working overtime, AND I have a luncheon date! I can't wish for more than that I think *S*
I wanted to say thankyou to all who have shown me positive support during the time since this last operation. I have not shared all my thoughts and feelings as some days have been more than a struggle, and at times I do have to admit I felt like giving up. Turning a corner pain wise has been a very welcomed experience, and to be able to walk even a little more is wonderful. Some who have met me will understand how difficult it has been through the years, mobility is perhaps something people take for granted, but when it is taken from you and walking sticks, and even wheelchairs are brought into play.......that is another kettle of fish as they say *S* If this is as good as it gets, then I shall accept it and be content, but I have been told even more improvement may come yet, that will indeed be another bonus!
Changing the subject to these boards and the room, I am afraid my feeling towards roleplaying and even writing is simply not there at the moment, nor has it been for a while I am sure you will say *S* In truth, reality has become more interesting and challenging but having said that I shall always check and read the boards and enjoy them for what they are meant to be. I see them as a way of keeping in touch, having fun, sharing thoughts and feelings, and of course a wonderful way to express ourselves through writing. I do hope all who still visit here will continue to do so and who knows.....perhaps one day will find us all in the room again. I am sure that will come again...........never say never!
Love and hugs to all.............always. xxxxxx
Just a thought............how about an ooc time in the room.....give us a chance to catch up, waffle about nothing in particular without the pressure of finding or exploring new roleplay stories. Might be a way forward to getting folks back?

*leaves a big hug* Joseph is screaming so I only have a second here, but just wanted to let you know that I love your post and agree with the sentiments! It's how I feel exactly. I am so happy to hear of the healing and sorry to hear of the pain, but above all I am glad to be hearing about how things go in your life and the life of my other friends here.

PS: Sinny, rather stressed with the move and all, but Joseph seems to be doing ok. Only up three times the last few nights which is a blessing.

*grins* great April Fool's gag, Edie! You had me going! Ahh Dream . . you really are an inspiration to me, as I've told you perhaps ad nauseam. While I would wish you continued improvement, and full health again, I have to wonder that the contentment you have cultivated is almost a greater blessing. Your phrase "Never say never" seems particularly poignant when I heard this report from the University of Minnesota research mediamill.cla.umn.edu/mediamill/embed/7316It's only in the infant stages yet, but who would have thought such a thing ever possible! If successful, imagine the possibilities. . .

For all. I found this waiting in my emails this morning, from a dear and beautiful friend.......... perhaps contentment and happiness are never truly far from our reach. What power there is in a simple smile......and the knowledge that someone cares. I see hope in the faces of the flowers in my garden. They are beautiful in the new morning, opening like smiles and shining with promise
SMILE, someone's thinking about you!

Thank you, Dream. I needed that. New address probably will be send out tomorrow (want to add the new phonenumber as well) Wonderful and hopeful news, just hoping it will lead to a succes in the end, it's so agonising to be on the waiting list.
Joseph is back to waking up five or six times a night. Seeing the doctor tomorrow.

I hope everyone got the new address. We are currently packing and trying to rest up. Josephs sleeping is very hit and miss at the moment and our move starts in 11 days. Still, we are looking forward to life in our new house. Next milestone will be my driverslicence. I REALLY need to get it! We are not taking any big vacations this year, but may go for a week or a long weekend to Hilton Head, introducing Joseph to the sea! He had a bath today. This is a major event in our household because with the baby eczema and extreme dry skin he suffered we were not allowed to bathe him more than every two weeks, preferably less. Consequently, Joseph is not really used to having a bath and feels rather insecure. The eczema seems to be getting better thanks to some norwegian salve that my mother brought from Belgium. *L* Joseph had a death grip on the rim of his little clawfoot plastic tub in the beginning. But he relaxed after a bit and even played with the rubber duckie. Bill and I sang the Rubber Duckie song. www.youtube.com/watch?v=YWqCReOXjZMWe had a lot of fun, there even was some splashing and of course the duckie had to be tasted. *G* Everything goes into the mouth at this stage. There is a picture of it, which will be good for later blackmailing purposes when Joseph thinks about bringing home a date. ;D

*laughs* Boy, does THAT bring back memories! I can't imagine not being able to bathe a little boy at least once a day . . mine seemed to need it several times or better some days! You really have had your patience tested to the skies . . Happy packing! Ah Dream . . my slowly emerging tulips are once again uncloaking from a blanket of snow. There really is hopeful promise in flowers, isn't there . . . I spent the weekend with a paintbrush in my hand. If I ever get the urge to paint cabinets again, clobber me firmly with my paintbrush?!

Tulips.......how lovely *VBS* I have to say I did rather soak up the glorious colours of the huge display of Tulips and other Spring flowers in Eastbourne at the weekend. I shall try and find a picture to share. They were absolutely amazing, even after surviving an unexpected snow covering of around 8 inches last week! The weather there is quite a lot warmer than my home, they even have succulents and summer flowers that seem to survive winter! It was splendid to enjoy such colourful scenes and the seaside! We stayed in a Hotel right on the beach, I was lulled to sleep listening to the gently breaking waves on the shoreline only yards from my window. I admit I could have stayed there for much longer *VBS* The weather was so very kind and we had no rain at all, even though it was forcast. Winter coats were needed, but the sun was so warm when we found a sheltered spot. A short break that did indeed lift my very soul. www.eastbourne.org/tourism/beachyhead/I have been fighting a head cold from hell the past week, it seems to be lingering on and cannot understand my need to move on *L* How horrid these simple germs are! Still, I think the breeze on Beachy Head may just have helped to clear my head *L* Hoping all are well and safe as the week progresses......... Spring cleaning, clutter clearing and moving seems to be the norm for many of us. Take care and enjoy!

Ohhh . . the beaches look so inviting, the Carpet Garden beautiful, and the hotels spectacular! I'd imagine this time of year a lot less crowded than summer? Such a wonderful get-away for you . .
It was actually warmer here a few days ago than in Florida, believe it or not! Finally just the tiniest hints of green in the lawns, and it's been wonderful to go without coats or even jackets already! Even shirtless, some of the braver of us (guys, lol)
My cabinets are still tacky to the touch . . and I was hoping to paint the living room walls this weekend! It's just nice to spruce things up a bit . . . Especially now that we have found out my son is soon on his way back from overseas, planning a trip to see our oldest daughter, and the youngest graduating from college! The days get busier as spring unfolds.

Mmm... summer. I'm glad everyone else seems to be getting a bit warmer weather too. The weather here for the coming week seems to be quite nice. Busy, busy is the motto here too. Bills parents came today for a day and we managed to get a whole lot packed up. The white china is packed as well as the crystal and most of the knicknacks. Each day a box from now on.
