Oouuu Stina . . I do believe you are a Healer to the bone . . your beautiful words to Dream have probably been better tonic to mend her body and soul than anything the doctors could have prescribed! *beams*
And yes . . the winter from the pits continues, eh? *sighs* The fronts split and go around us with the snows, so we've hardly had any significant storms, just spits and hisses . . but still have the original layer all the way back from October, since it's never really melted . . today finds many schools late due to dangerous windchills again, down to -24 actual temps, add in the winds and flesh freezes in a very short exposure. So so so tired of this . .
*grins* the good part is that bundling in so many layers makes one feel quite cuddly . . hehe . .
Ah, I had the sort of grinder Stina mentioned for my kids as well! Just a nice simple contraption that you could toss just about anything into and it cleaned up so nicely. I wonder if they even make them anymore? We even used them for my residents at work, back when we had a woman that just could not use her dentures very effectively . . .
*smiles* My daughter just texted to tell me there's a full eclipse of the moon tonight?!

Gosh, you are really suffering there with Winter, I am so very sorry. It would seem once again we have experienced a very mild Winter, but I shall not hold my breath, just incase. It has been known to get a lot colder before Spring really arrives. Dull morning here now, but so pretty in the garden, makes me feel inspired! I cannot believe it is Friday again......my week has been a tad busier than of late, with several coffee mornings and a couple of nice lunches out, all rather nice I have to say, although tiring still. I need some energy *L* Progress is definitely in the making, and I have lots of plans already forming as I look outside, not a bad thing *S* and I made apple pie too *L* All in all.....I must not grumble. I do apologise though, as I promised to let you all know our dear Repsol had computer problems and may not be here for another week yet. Do hurry back Reps ole man....we miss your wit and that huge warm heart of yours. I used a humble hand potato masher for my baby food *L* seemed to do the trick, and making it into ice cubes is a good idea. We actually sold a car to allow us to buy our first freezer *L* and a gas fire too. Oh those sacrifices we make for our children......they never seem to stop do they *VBS* I would not change a thing though......not one. Wishing you all happy and safe days.........hoping they are kindly and full of smiles.

We bought a house! Good Lord in heavens we actually bought a house. I can't believe how much life has changed in the past three years. Andnow that beautiful house gets added to it. We signed the papers today. Now the sellers sign the papers and in about two months we move. I can't really believe it yet, everything went so quickly. But as you all said, it was a beautiful house and extremely well priced. All appliances are included in the sale. ;D
Dream, how is your boy doing? All healed up by now? Letha, I am so sorry that winter is being so stuborn. I saw the first magnolia tree in bloom here today and could not believe my own eyes. In Belgium it would still be cold and damp. Thank you, Dream, for telling us about Repsol. I miss him and hope to see him soon.

Okay, I am back. A teething baby, storms, and going back and forth with two last minute alterations to the contract. (Nothing important, but just things they wanted in the contract to make sure we did not sue them later.) Of course it took a lot of time. THis last week has been insane, but I think we got through it. The sleeping has been insanely bad the last few days, which aparently is normal for a first tooth. I'm so tired I can barely see straight and I have a dentist appointment tomorrow. Gah, but I hope, if Joseph finally is ready to be happy boy again, to spend some time here.

Many congratulations on your first home Eva! Do let us have the address as soon as you are settled in. Thankyou, yes my Son is doing well, and has coped far better than we could have hoped. All is well *Waves* to Sinny with warm wishes. It's that time again here in my little corner of England........so.......sharing some little yellow sunshiney thoughts with you all. "Daffodils" (1804) I WANDER'D lonely as a cloud
That floats on high o'er vales and hills, When all at once I saw a crowd,
A host, of golden daffodils; Beside the lake, beneath the trees, Fluttering and dancing in the breeze. Continuous as the stars that shine
And twinkle on the Milky Way, They stretch'd in never-ending line
Along the margin of a bay: Ten thousand saw I at a glance, Tossing their heads in sprightly dance. The waves beside them danced; but they
Out-did the sparkling waves in glee: A poet could not but be gay,
In such a jocund company: I gazed -- and gazed -- but little thought What wealth the show to me had brought: For oft, when on my couch I lie
In vacant or in pensive mood, They flash upon that inward eye
Which is the bliss of solitude; And then my heart with pleasure fills, And dances with the daffodils.
By William Wordsworth (1770-1850).

Ohhh.. Daffodils! SPRING!! While spring may rear it's head in England today was bitterly cold here. Not freezing but weather for a pullover AND a coat. And a big warm wintersuit for Joseph as we went to the library. There is a storytime hour for babies zero to twelve months on thursday that we go to on thursday and we walk there with the pram. It's fun to meet all the other moms and to compare who is crawling, who is big, what great ideas they have, etc. Today our complaint was the difficulty of finding reliable sitters or daycare. We put Joseph on a waiting list for a drop in day care program where we could leave him occasionally if we needed to for half a day five months before he was born. He is now number fifty on the waiting list. Ouch! The disadvantages of living far away from family. I can not believe I am moving in two months, and that we managed to get that house. I am telling you the prices of a house here in the SC are ridiculously low, plus in the current market we had the advantage. We certainly hd not expected when we started looking to find something this pretty and well maintained and now I am wondering what to do with all the spaces. *LOL* We have furniture for two bedrooms, a babyroom and the kitchen. And that is stretching it. I am very glad though to have a decent kitchen. Ours is designed by someone who does not cook with not enough places for bigger items like plates and pots and pans. They only fit in two of the bottom cabinets.

*leaving a hug for those passing by.* We're off to Georgia for the day, visiting Josephs Godmother and another friend. He slept very well tonight. Hopefully it starts a trent. For those of you still suffering from winter, let me give you a snowkitty:

Awww, cute kitten! Please be sure to leave us your new mail address once you'll have moved, Edie! - Oh, does your new house have guest bedrooms?

It has indeed! We have a room for Joseph, a room for mommy and daddy, a guestbedroom and then another bedroom, which can be a second guestbedroom. Plus, there is room for a temporary guest bed in the FROG (aparently this is a room over the garage, not an amphibian). I am expecting many Windstormians to pass by over time, understood? *G* We are back from a fun and exhausting visit. The weather is nice here again and I am preparing for a week without my husband, not next week, but the week after. His mother however will come into town and we will have great fun together! I will definitely post the address about a week or so before we move. We will start moving april 25th, but we have a week or so to do it.

Mmmmm . . soaking up the dancing daffodils as well as the adorable blue-eyed kitten! I didn't let Norm see, he'd be so jealous! (Norm's my plain, grey tabby! Short for "Normal") So Eva, I am guessing that now that you'll have your very own house, you can finally have a kitten of your own?!
