*She wrote the name with care....... a handsome man he was....mayhaps a warrior....but she nae asked more. He would stay as long as he wished.....mayhaps he would tell more as time allowed.*

*A messenger had come.....and the stranger had returned the guest room key with a polite farewell. It seemed his home was in need of his presence....but mayhaps yet, he might return to visit as time allowed.
With provisions and Windstorm's best wishes.....he took flight on his horse into the dark of night.*

*Later that eve, and just before she had gone to bed, the man had returned again. She had nae asked questions. The laws of hospitality would nae allow for such, and she feared questions might hurt him. Instead, she had but offered him a guestroom anew, and retrieved the key that Lady Dream had nae yet put away from her sewing basket. He had accepted it with kind words. She wished she could have stayed but fatigue took sway.*

*Lord Sighehelm had shown the new guest a warm Windstorm welcome.....and now she wrote the name within the pages of the Household Guest Book.....hoping to meet the lady as time allowed.*

When idly leafing through the book, she sees the new name, remembering to have met the Lady shortly. Her smile blooms thinking of the hospitality the new guest will find in her home, and she looks forward to getting to know her.

* makes note in the guest book*
To A/all of Windstorm
Let it be known that the Queen Nicole Douglas of Keilder, be a guest in our home till further notice. She has come to visit and to be close to her dear sick friend Lady Edfeil whom is bed ridden at this time . She has taken the last available chambers on the third floor.

Looking over the scrolls ....I stop when I notice the name of an old and dear friend....

*a smile lights my face* I truly hope, that as my Queen shall be about for awhile...that I may soon be able to sit and have tea with her...and talk about old times.. for her gentle and loving nature always had a calming effect upon the soul...

*She smiled softly as she read of the Queen's arrival and decision to sojourn for a time at the Castle, guessing how much all in the castle would enjoy her visit. She then set her pen to add another name*
Thorgrimm Halfdane, the Grandsire of a Jarl of an area near Birka in Sweden, the son of a Swedish father and Danish mother ~ hence the surname. Good Thorgrimm is travelling back to his homeland after 5 years service in the Byzantine Emperor's (personal bodyguard) Varangian Guard. His fleet of 3 Longships has put into Windstorm Harbour for rest and repairs. Our good King has offered the hospitality of the castle, and after learning of the impending threat from the Franks, of whom Thorgrimm has little love, he and his crew have nobly offered to assist with any defense if needed. We offer most hearty welcome to both him and his crew . .

(Oh crud! I kept emphasising that Vinzelles has not seen any Norse in WS harbour or the halls. Can we assume the Longships arrived after the Franks? Then it would not be a problem incorporating that info into the RP)

(( Excellent post Letha.... a great insight to our new guest. Yes baddie guy...I am sure we may use our 'poetic license' and assume the ships arrived after yourselves.....or indeed may have been moored around the other side of the Harbour.))

Seems the castle is a flutter with great tidings and new and old faces visiting or perhpas with greatest aspirations. It was all great news to her. Welcome Queen Nicole, QUINEVRE, and to a very interesting character she had meet briefly, Thorgrimm Halfdane. I do hope you enjoy you selves here, and please accept my warm welcome to you all. (( always afraid to do this for fear I am forgetting someone, so if there is someone I did overlook please pounce on me...as I then will never forget you again.... )

*with great care she wrote the name in the guestbook. The guest seemed to relish the idea of a quite home life, and she believed he could use a healers attention as well. She would speak of such to the Lady Rayven for certain. For now, she used her best handwriting to add the name*
