A very warm welcome to January and the start of a whole New Year for us all to enjoy. I wish you good health and happiness added of course to lots of free time to roleplay and creative writing! Christmas was wonderful for me and perhaps one of the best in a few years, simply because I was well and able to enjoy all the build up. Although we had no guests I was able to be completely selfish and enjoy my 'lads' company, even getting them to play trivia and Scrabble *L* Girlfriends came in the evening and we played Rock Band too *L* I scored 98% singing!! not bad for an aging hippy! All great fun and a splendid week. New Year was equally quiet at home with both of us battling those horrid cold germs, I have managed to keep them at bay but I do fear something is lingering *L* still......I won't complain and look forward to 2009 with increased enthusiasm and excitement. New Years resolutions anyone?? Mine is a simple one this year...perhaps more easily kept! To be kinder to myself!! *LOL* Happy New Year To All Extra special for Beren as I am sure we are all thinking of her still.

GAH! Something ate my post. New years resolutions: get back into the nice balance of work, Joseph and play that we had before november started. Cook healthier meals. Start taking vitamins. All that will have to wait a bit though until we get home. We leave here in Belgium in a few hours. My vacation was not as nice as I had hoped due to a schedule of interchanging flus and colds. I hope to leave all the germs behind here, though we spread them around quite a bit. THink of us today as we travel about twenty hours, with of course chances of delays etc. at every turn.

Hoping the New Year has started well for you all............I have finally succumbed to the germs battling about my home here and feel rather horrid. A simple 'cold' can have such awful symptoms hmmmm and a goodly excuse for another Brandy and Port! Much to the delight of my lads I have lost my voice!!! *L* no....not funny *L* actually its so frustrating.........and quite painful........ohhhh why is there no cure for these awful ailments that knock us for six! *Enter grumbles here all rather croakily!!* Could be worse...........but methinks time to try and recoup some of my lost sleep from last night! Stay germ free all!!!! and warm too..........not much above freezing here again, another nice open fire I think......Winter does have it's goodly points! to all!

And so it begins indeed, the brand new year! Snowed in again due to another weekend storm, though not quite as bad. Two more brewing out west, so it's going to be a very snowy winter, I'm afraid. Poor Dream! You never realize how much you use your voice until you lose it *grins and hugs* Wrap up and snuggle in, and get well soon!
Not much of one for resolutions, although one that I did make was to entertain a little more often this year.

Sits with his legs crossed feet resting upon the huge Keg of rum smoking his pipe Santa did well this year ;D, leans back in his soft high back leather seat and mumbles, these be wots ye wants Lady Dream, smoke filled lungs so the lil buggy things cant breath and a mouth full of rum so they cant get their bearings and stumble off to someone else...LOL..(thought it was quiet)
Well new years revolution ...mmm let me think, maybe stop smoking, yep seems a good meaningful thing to do, so maybe I could spend more money on the upkeep of the Rolls Royce and the Bentleys, though it means I need to get rid of 150 Cuban Cigars and 400 cigs oh deep joy, if you see a black cloud over UK its my house..LOL
On a more serious note though A/all you guys suffering from the buggy things I hope ya gets well soon and I sends ya me warmest hugs.
Love and best wishes to A/all

A great resolution to stop smoking., Bill and I managed to get home safely, though it was touch and go at the beginning as there was a misunderstanding about a ticket for Joseph, and then a horrible, horrible delay at security. We arrived at the gate just as the last people were boarding. After that, it was plain sailing all along. Hurray! We both are still having lingering effects of the cold. I am hoping we will finally be germ free soon. SHake them off soon, Dream, because they are clingy germs! My new years resolution of getting more organised will translate hopefully into more Windstorm time. We will be here in Hilton Head with Bills parents till wednesday afternoon, but I will make some time for play, rest assured!

Ooph, just rushing in quickly to tell everyone that here at Hilton Head it was 77 degrees today, so about 24 degrees Celsius. Nice summerweather, and unexpected even here in the beginning of january. I bought some new clothes on sale in the outlet mall and we went to the beach where we made a sandcastle. We had great fun and I am hoping the cold is finally waning.

Well, today is the last day of our vacation. My beloved husband seems to have been up and fit, I am trying to shake the last vestiges of that stuborn cold. Ugh. I am sleeping better though and ready to start tomorrow as the new beginning of the year, at least where it comes to day to day life. Strange isn't it how holidays can get us out of our rhythm even while we enjoy them so much?

*Makes some sign language to Repsol* pfffft *L* Quiet indeed, apart from this hacking cough! My Dr says don't even whisper as that can also place more strain on the vocal chords.......we called her in on Monday and she was very helpful diagnosing a chest infection along with the laryngitis. I knew my asthma was getting bad so also have a course of steroids to boot! Never rains but it pours hmmm *L* still with all these ills at once I shall be in fine fettle and raring to go shouldn't I?? *LOL* I should have kept quiet over Christmas saying how well I was keeping! I do admit defeat here.........but know it is only a temporary setback before i can really begin my new year, much like Eva *S* I have such plans and did have so much more energy *L* It will return I am sure..........and for now I shall return to my sick bed where it's all warm and cosy! Seriously hoping all are well and safe.........with love and hugs.

Well, today is the first day of the new 'routine'. I started well in getting up early, and I am nicely dressed. Now the rest of the day needs to fall in line.

Awww Dream . . you know, when we were little and came down with something my Grandmother used to send out these curious little care packages with some of the oddest stuff in them. It was always a wonderful reward for getting sick! Hopefully you'll be feeling chipper and vocal again in no time!
*chuckles at the idea of getting "back into rhythmn" again anytime soon and sighs* Rather a hellish sort of day here . . I think it's more than just coincidence when it seems like every hour brings more bad news . . I won't recount it all, but the highlight (lowlight?) had to be finding out that my brother in law died last night. He lived several states away, and lost his wife (my husband's sister) 11 years ago, leaving behind 3 small children, who are presently still in high school.
A goodly reminder to cherish each day we are gifted . .

Sunday.....gosh this week has vanished without trace for me..........I have achieved very little, but do feel I have turned a corner with these germies! I dressed yesterday but did end up still laying on top of my bed most of the afternoon and evening *L* how lazy am I! The mind is willing but my body energy level is about zero and each time I go to do anything the slightest bit physical the coughing begins, so it just seems more logical to simply rest still............good enough excuse to read more and just go with the flow. Not fun, and very frustrating but with the weather so cold here lately, probably best for my health. It is set to become milder now unfortunately because the rains will come again, it has been just beautiful here with heavy frosts that seem to cover even the highest trees! Magical wonderland as far as I can see from my windows. Hopefully it will have killed off many pests and germs and we can look forward to Spring...........although I have a feeling Spring will not be coming that soon! *L* Wishing all well and safe as a new week is about to begin.
