He walked in the garden with his new shadow at his side, the dog sniffed and sneazed at the flowers, pawing at the ground and turning over dirt and sniffing more, he looked upon his shadow and smiled somewhat, how did Althea know he would favor such a beast, his thoughts turned to matters in hand he knew he would need to speak to Althea about things from his past and soon as the Lady may think him un honorable to hide things from her, but how could he speak of such matters.
As he though he tripped over the dog stood in front of him wagging its.......its stump of a tail with a rose bush in its mouth, his smile went as he saw it to be one of the Queens finest roses as he turned he saw a few patches where bushes where no more as they had been expertly removed and layed to the side of the path on which they walked, his heart sank and his stomach tightened not only could he get himself into trouble he now had an accomplice...thats bad he thought, he gestured to a man working the garden, removing the bush gently from the dogs mouth he handed it to the man along with a couple of brass coins and asked if he could re plant those laid at the pathside, the man tipped his hat and began to attend to the bushes....
His mind went back to the Lady ALthea and how he would explain himself....
