Still difficult to find words to explain my absence, but perhaps it is time to try.....
Some of you know I have experienced a hoarse voice and some health problems since New Year. Well I had a procedure a few weeks ago and a growth was found on my larynx, of course the Consultant could not tell me what it was so a biopsy was planned and he gave me some medicine that hoped may help. I went into hospital Monday morning and apparently had 2 biopsies taken from my throat. I was a little groggy but the Consultant explained my larynx looked ok now, the medicine had obviously worked its magic, (Apparently Asthma inhalers can cause these adhesions), but there was a very inflamed area he was not happy with. Thus the biopsies.
He also told me that when one suffers several infections and colds in a short space of time the larynx can become hardened and cause problems such as hoarseness etc. and as such the results in one month's time could show that there is nothing seriously wrong! This has been a constant worry to me as you can imagine, but I am staying positive especially after this news.
My throat is raw and so very sore, but I will be able to speak again with 'minimal use' after today. It has been strange to say the least! Writing down things, and yet I did not actually feel like talking *L* so a bonus perhaps, also a little weight loss hopefully as I am not enjoying food at the moment, except for drinks and ice cream!
I am also scheduled for another procedure when my replaced Knee will be bent under a general anesthetic in order to gain a little more mobility *L* yes I know.....I am a glutton for hospital stays! Not looking forward to that but if it helps then great *S* I should have had this done earlier but wanted to sort out my voice first, that was the priority, and nothing happens quickly in the UK when it comes to hospitals *S*
Anyway......with regard to Windstorm, I am thrilled to see the role play continuing about Caernarvon and their War and sincerely hope we can arrange a date soon for Kyles Knighthood, perhaps a festival for our home to celebrate the future *S* My apologies but I simply have no interest at the moment in writing, crafts or anything, except perhaps tending to my veggies.....my mind as you can imagine has been so full of fears and worries for the future that role playing has become a very distant ideal for now. I truly wish you all well and hope I shall return and enjoy playing again soon.
