This clearly was just another insult thrown at him by king Agustin. With disdain Vinzelles looked at the female standing before him, mustering her up and down, then turning to Lamont who stood besides him.
“It seems this woman here has not found her proper place yet? Looks like they don’t have any man here to show her her duties in bed. Maybe she kicks like a mule when they try to educate her?”
Vinzelles now looked back at Siya, a smile on his face. “We have heard of women like you, have seen one when the barbarians came to our shores. Man-women you are, not fit in bed, nor fit to bear children. Do you like to live like that, wielding weapons which are too heavy for you? Well, it only confirms my opinion about this realm – your Viking friends have befuddled your minds with unchristian notions and ideas. But not for long any longer….Now tell us, what has happened in the harbour? You must know about it, do you not?”
His gaze went over to the guards … and his worrying only grew deep inside his heart.

Francois approached the main gates leading out of the castle when two Guards stopped him...Informing him that he did not have Leave to depart the castle upon Orders of His Majesty.
He stared at the men dumbfounded! Who did this upstart of a halfbaked King did this man Stormblade think he was??? Without a word, he attempted to brush past the guardsmen...and was immediately subdued and lead back to the Castle.
Get ze hands offa me!! Ye stink like ze pigs!!
It was of course, no use....struggle as he might, he could not speerate himself from the guardsmen...so he found himself being shoved into the Great Hall, loudly protesting the entire way!!

With dismay de Sennis watched as his man Trechanoux was bodily hurled into the great hall, a barrage of curses coming from his mouth.
Without a word, Vinzelles left Lamont’s side, walking over to where Trechanoux had been pushed into the hall. There, standing in front of him, he reaches backwards, the back of his hand smacking right across the younger man’s right cheek hard.
“You will curb your mouth, Trechanoux, or by God I will still your tongue most effectively once we’ll be back home! Now tell me, what happened? Why are you back so soon? I thought…” Vinzelles leaned closer, “I had thought you’d not be such an cretin to let yerself be caught!”
Fuming, Vinzelles turned away from Trechanoux and now faced the guards who had brought in his man into the hall.
“What is the meaning of this? We had been assured of free passage, Lord Trechanoux was going to travel on my orders. Explain this … NOW!”
By now de Sennis had worked up quite a bad mood and impatiently awaited what the guards would have to say. Or King Agustin, should the man come here any time soon.

*The servants were agitated...she could not help but hear the raised voices within the Hall. He had told her to stay away from them... but her duty was to still the fears that were rising within the young girls....they looked to her...trusted her judgement and had served the foreign men as was the custom in her home. Now they simply waited...afraid to enter the Hall.....she had to do something.....and she stood within the doorway flanked either side by a Guard.
Recognising the man from her first meeting.....she looked upon him...suddenly gasping aloud as she watched him strike a blow to the other man who was obviously distraught.*
"Sire....M'Lord.......I.........please...... refrain from such behaviour within my home. Ye are a guest...as is ye companion...I beg ye to still ye hand!"
*She spoke from shock more than bravado....concern within her features... but fear still deep in her heart as she moved into the Hall*

Only now did the councillor notice the slight woman who had entered the hall. He had seen her but once before, if he recalled correctly she was one of the noble women in this house. Her bearing, and her tone when she spoke, surely betrayed as much.
Almost lusing at the gentle rebuke of his actions, Vinzelles bowed towards the lady, the straightened again, an apologetic look on his face.
“Milady! I must.. apologize, for Lord Trechanoux and my own uncalled for behaviour. Good men are hard to find, ad this one,” his head indicated Francois, “has been less than couteous with his words. You cannot deny a man the right to show a younger one what is proper and what is not? However, these times are trying, on all of us, Milady. And right now it seems as if none of us is allowed to leave your gracious hospitality? May I inquire for the reasons to keep us here, and not let Lord Trechanoux go and seek word of what has happened in the harbour? Also I do need to speak to your king… would you know when he will be here, Mlady?”
With the kindest smile Vinzelles looked at the lady standing before him, awaiting a response.

*She looked between both men.... knowing her own ways of teaching would never include such aggression... but she kept her thoughts hidden.....or she hoped.
Her words were quiet.....she pondered hard as to what to say.....she had intruded and was faltering.*
"I have nae a doubt ye will teach him all ye may Sire......My King has been busy with duties......mayhaps ye would enjoy our hospitality a while longer afore he can find the time to speak with ye again."
*She was unsure.....embarrased and confused as she knew nothing of the spoken words between either her King or any.....but she stood her ground and felt rather sorry for the younger man.*

The news he received from the woman’s mouth didn’t suit him well, and Vinzelles began to pace again, not letting his eyes stray from either the woman nor the guards at the entrances to the hall.
“Your hospitality has been exceptional so far, but now I do need answers as… as to…” Vinzelles rubbed his eyes, placed his fingers against his left temple… not no, God, not now!, “We need answers about what is happening in… the harbour. As your guests…”
All of a sudden, the Frank held his head with both hands, shaking it a if to dislodge something from it. His pupils became large, Vinzelles turned away from the woman who had addressed him, the room beginning to shake, to spin… he took a few steps towards his friend Lamont before the ground vanished underneath his feet.
De Sennis crumpled to his knees in front of Lamont, his hand clutching the man’s tunic and belt, trying to prevent the fall, but it was in vain.
“The herbs… Lamont, get them. Quick!”
Another few second and Vinzelles was laying on the ground, on his side, his hands opening and closing rapidly, his jaws clamping shut, his head thrashing back and forth. In an instant Lamont was by his friend’s side, kneeling down beside him as he turned Vinzelles onto his back, his hand grappling with the lash of the small pouch he was wearing on his belt, opening it. He ignored the guards who had instinctively moved closer when the frank had reached for his belt… Lamont produced a piece of dark, polished wood, the length of a middle finger. With one hand on Vinzelles’ jaws, Lamont kept talking to the still thrashing and convulsing man, finally managing to open his mouth and bringing the piece of wood between his friend’s teeth.
“That’s good, bite on it, alright… that’s good, Vinzelles.” One hand was brushing away his hair out of his eyes, then other held both hands tightly in his. With a sad smile Lamont looked up to meet the lady’s eyes.
“He suffers from the falling disease…. An illness of the Gods, they say. Here, these herbs will help him, they need to be brewed in hot water so I can give the brew to him. He will be alright… he will be alright, Milady.”
Lamont hoped with all his heart that it would be so. Vinzelles has had seizures like this one three times before, Lamont had known about his friend’s illness for some time now. But each time the seizures seemed to increase in vehemence and length…finally the seizures subsided, and Vinzelles lay still, unconscious, as if sleeping. Carrying his friend over to a couch, Lamont then gave lady Loxley the pouch with herbs.
Then his vigil began. He knew it would be a long, hard vigil – at a time when Vinzelles should have been at his mentally best.

She knew all to well after asking the frank to stay put that it would leave a bad taste in his mouth.
When he spoke his distastefull words to him, she assumed he thought he would get a rise out of her from it, but never the less she kept her wits about her and simply smiled at the man with a nod.
This was not the first man whom had spoke to her like this, and she knew it would not be the last man, she doesn't let it get to her anymore, she knows she is just as much of a Lady as any Lady out there, she just happens to have exceptional warrior skills, and why let that waste??
She simply stated to the frankish man..
Sir..Ye shall recieve the information ye seek when King Agustin arrives...he shan't be long now..
She simply stood there, hand still on the hilt of her sword, and watched over Vinzelles. She smiled slightly as the Lady Loxley appeared in the Great Hall.
She worried about the Lady being in the hall with such vulgar men about, and then came the witness of the beating of another frankish man.
Her eyes widened as Lady Loxley spoke out, she grit her teeth when, Vinzelles yet again asked what was going on, and she winced, praying that Lady Loxey would not divulge anything, that is if she knew anything.
She sighed quitely in relief when she did not speak of the situation, and her attentions were again back on Vinzelles.
She watched as he began to pace again, and then, her eyes widened as she saw him drop to the ground in a fit, she didn't move from her spot, but a couple of gaurds did.
She looked over to the Lady Loxley as Vinzelles side man kneeled down and aided him, she moved to lady Loxley and placed a hand out infron of her, indicating her not to move to the frank mans side, incase this indeed was a setup, she whispered.
Best ye stay put M'Lady Loxley, I would nae want anything te 'appen te ye...Nae fret o'er the man, he 'as all the 'elp he needs...
Then Lamont handed the Lady Loxley a bag, she stepped in between the two just incase, she listened to Lamont explain to Lady Loxely about this episode, she turned to Lady Loxley and nodded, with a whisper..so only she can hear..
M'Lady...iff'n ye are te 'elp this Sir, please...take a gaurd with ye te the kitchen while ye brew, these men are nae te be trusted...
She nodded to a gaurd and nodded to Lady Loxely, she did not want to restrict her from doing what she wanted, she only wanted her to keep safe.
Her attentions now looked back upon Vinzelles upon the cold floor and Lamont beside him, she stood and silently watched.

*She had not seen Siya at first....and felt even more foolish for interfering in the duties of Windstorm's protectors. If she had not heard the raised voices, she would not have entered the Hall......but these were guests...right or wrong...they were staying within her home....she had a duty to them. She was about to apologise when suddenly the man took ill ....falling to the ground like a felled tree. Her instincts were to go to him.... the man was obviously ill.....she heard Siya tell her to stay back....she had frowned then...almost pleading with her. Any in need deserved to be helped... it was her nature and she looked on in desperation as the other man placed something between the man's teeth. She had heard of these convulsions and watched his body flexing of its own accord....it was distressing and she felt a sickness within the pit of her stomach. There was no open wound...no blood ....nothing to treat....she felt helpless. In the commotion that followed....the other guest offered her a small pouch.... to make tea he said... it would help. His broken English was good enough and she understood......the fear within his face was enough to show her it was urgent. Siya had spoken again... she was not pleased with the situation they found themselves in, but bid her do as she would. She had nodded to them both and turned upon her heel towards the kitchens. Several servants had been watching between the bodies of the Guards in the doorway.....there seemed to be Guards everywhere and she spoke calmly to them...asking of them to stay their distance.....to allow the man some dignity whilst this awful ailment consumed him. She was sure there would not be any trouble. Mollie aided her then... the herbs were quickly wrapped and tied in muslin...... water just off the boil was poured over it and the whole liquid stirred twice to infuse it more hastily. She lifted the mug with care and moved with an urgency back to the Hall. She noticed a small gathering of servants and guards by the doorway and told them once again to disperse. Her eyes met Siya's....an apology was within them...as she moved forward and placed the mug of brewed herbs upon the table. She simply looked at the fallen man and lifted a quilt from one of the chairs before kneeling down beside him. She could do no more than watch him as she attempted to lift his head and slide the folded quilt beneath it.* ((Sorry Siya... have to do something... going mad here ))

He didn’t open his eyes but he could feel a gentle hand lifting his head and placing something soft underneath his head… the rough surface of an earthen mug touched his lips, some liquid was being poured into his mouth… tangy, a harsh taste but he was too weak to protest so he swallowed in little sips.
Without being awake, his hand reached out and came to grasp another… when did Lamont’s hands become so soft and slender? Or was this… Yvette? Had she returned, when he needed her? Aah, what a good woman she was …
His hand closed harder around the one he had grasped… for a moment he could smell perfume… she had changed her perfume for him ….but now he needed rest, to let his fevered brain come to quiet itself again. Slowly his fingers opened again, with a last reflect Vinzelles swallowed another drop o the healing liquid before his consciousness send him away on a long, joyless journey again.
