*Sadhbh had been crying, her tears had streaked her cheeks yet she did not stop her packing. Her clothes here were few thank heaven. Most of it remained either in Kent or in St Davids, so that she had little to do but ensure that her cloak was fit and that her brothers clothing, what remained to be stitched was repaired. Neatly she placed it in a pile on the made bed and then she looked about. She had everything gathered together now, everything but the letters. Words spoken last night held her heart in suspension*
Sighehelm, My darling brother. I love thee well and I shall always love thee. I now know thae my presence be a burden to thee. I would nae wish this for thee for thy burdens be already deep. So, when ye find this letter, I shall be gone. Tae clothing be stitched and I have left notes on tae use of tae herbs left in tae pantry. may tae Lord Bless thee and keep thee safe
Sadhbh
Sir Braggasson,
I write tae ye tae wish thee good health. I said tae I would nae be a burden tae ye iffn tae time comes and so I hold tae myne word. Dinnae worry for me, I release thee from thy burden myne Mother set on thee. Be Safe and well good Sir
Sadhbh
Lady Dream, I thank thee for thy good company and gentle care. Ye have been a friend and someone who bears a wonderful heart tae welcomes all. I thank thee for for all tae ye have done. Forgive myne sudden departure. I have myne reasons. Be well and Safe May God protect thee Sadhbh
*Finally she wrote to Lady Edfeil, her heart found it hard to put her emotions into her words. The conversation ran over her mind again and again..."that is why I want you to leave". It went to her very core. She had bowed then and curtsied and said that she would be gone by the morn. And so she wrote each letter, not mentioning why she left but that simply she was leaving. Her Mother would be angered, her brother would be angered but she would not betray the confidence she was asked to hold. Honour would be satisfied, what ever else happened she would not betray the trust this Lady had given her. She did not want to leave but Sadhbh would not go against the words of the Lady of the House. It would be rude and ill mannered of her and so...she turned to cast the pen into the ink and darken the parchement before her*
M'Lady Edfeil, I want tae thank thee for thy kindness and thy company. I want tae say thae ye be a friend in myne eyes. I will nae forget thee. Be well and Safe I pray tae thy life be one ye will find joy in
Sadhbh
*She took time to dust the words then seal the letters with wax. Sadhbh wrote the names on each one she awaited for the dawn. Then she would prepare the horse she rode from St Davids...for one more ride....*
(just an ooc note here, this is a continuation of an rp. The player was not asked to leave ooc wise.)

((LE: -first added this in Sadhbh's post, then realised it was rude... *blush* Just to explain that Edie tried to get Sighe and Sadhbh to leave to get them safely away from what may become a battle. The rest is going to be played out tomorow, hopefully, so don't worry!))

(*hugs Edie* of course Sadhbh would not see this. She heard the words but heeding them all would have been hard for a woman who was told that she and her brother was asked to leave. Its like a slap in the old kisser and is a nice error of life which hopefully will be played out. Misconstrued words are often seen in real life so why not rp. The player understands what has happened but the character being young and somewhat inexperianced with life does not. Don't you just love rp
*SS* cya on da other side Edie!)

(Hmm, Sinny will blame himself for bringing this on, LOL. Having neglected his guarding duties and all... Good to know that this is RP only. Will Sadhbh and Sighe be back?)

*Having spoken with Lady Edfeil she took her letters to her brother and Lord Bragasson and ripped them up. Sadhbh dipped her pen hastily before she left and wrote again to her brother and then once more to Lord Bragasson.*
My dearest brother,
I write this hastily as time be swiftly leaving me. I have discovered tae presence of a rare herb tae hold what be said be nigh almost magical qualities tae heal. I have spoken tae lady Edfeil and she be aware tae I travel with a stablehand and two of Lord Hawkmoons finest men. I should return tae thee in four days hence. I will hope tae bring more tabacco tae thee myne Rock. I leave thee with my Love God Bless and keep thee safe.
Sadhbh
M' Lord Bragasson, I write swiftly tae inform thee of myne departure from Windstorm. I assure thee tae I be in safe hands and we shall return on tae fourth night. I doth pray tae ye and those ye care for be kept safe and well. I would hope tae bring something back tae please thee good Sir.
Till then, May tae Lord ye doth bear Faith in keep thee safe
Sadhbh
*on four swift horses did they, afore all knew of their departure. They would keep off the roads and had enough provisions for the journey. They intended to be swift and would not delay more than they had to. The men also hoped for word on the winds about what comes to Windstorm. They thought that the sooner they departed the sooner they returned home*
(A very quick post here *SS* as Lady Edfeil has kindly conceded to fill out the bulk of what happened last night. Be well all)

Last eve had been kind to her. She had been able to sit up in bed for a spell. Suported by the many cushions, 't was the longest she had been awake in... ages. First she had the joy of sitting with m'lady Dream a bit. Then Chester also came to make her laugh... Lady Ravyen also came up with tea, and amidst the conversation, Millie had heard another sound by the door...
Lady Sadhbh had entered with letters. But more then the letters Lady Edfeil had read the sadness on her face. And while the others had needed to depart, both ladies had remained and spoken. Spoken of how 't was to wish to care... to protect those they loved. How the kings daughter had tried to get Lady Sadhbh and Lord Sighehelm to leave to keep them safe from the Franks. She knew Sadhbh would be kept safe by the men of the castle. But Lord Sighehelm... he would nae allow himself to be confined with the women. She knew such. He would wield his blade in defence... and face harm like the rest of her family. And she could do naught about 't now. Her own weakness kept her to this bed while she should be trying to speak with the Franks... But even speaking of the aproachign dangers made others change the subject.
She had held Sadhbh's hands, tried to explain, and had to give up her plan since the Dove of Kent assured her, her Brother would nae allow himself to be send away. And to make the travel to Kent now would nae be safe for Lady Sadhbh either. The only travel she now would make was one to gather herbs, and well protected she would be doing so, with both Hawkmoons men, and a stablehand, and the promise nae to get in any danger!

*The morning had proven itself worthy to grace the annals of some famed poet. Its glorious sunrise brought forth a burst of great joy and made each heart who looked at it deem themselves within the Lords goodly Light. Sadhbh had only a brief time to capture this with her eyes and hold it true for as long as she was allowed. The rested for a while and though each were quiet ye could feel the need for them to return again the Windstorm. Sadhbh knew that these men did wish to be by their comrades time yet...if the whispers were true....its healing powers would restore a man whom felt Master Death close by. Sadhbh had knelt a while and lowered her eyes in the quiet cornor from the mens eyes. She prayed for all in Windstorm and Kent, for the men there who held such tension. She prayed for Sighehelm, for her Mother, for her Brother and darling niece and grand niece, for Lady Edfeil, Lady Laurestina, for King Augustin, for Lady Dream, Lady Rayven, Lord Thanatos, Lord Roland, for Nicholas and Sir Joseph among others. She prayed that hope ran in their hearts and that the wisdom of the Lord would guide them and keep them safe. Lastly she prayed for the Franks, she hoped that they too would know wisdom and that they would turn their thoughts more fervently to peace. As the last of the dawns light hit her facade; Sadhbh rose and brushed the dust from her cloak. She laughed a little to herself at this action. It was truelly a waste of time for indeed a journey such as theirs would be quite dusty. Turning she made her way back to the men knowing that there would be at lease one man keeping watch over her. No fire was set for obvious reasons. In time when they would make for the Hermits beehives, they would warm themselves, but nae now. Now they would ride again...*

-Sighehelm pushed Petite, harder then even she wished. The Rat had told him east, and he followed the road east. But in honesty, he doubted he would find her, in honesty he wished he did not. The punishment he would inflict on his sister was one that would hurt him more then it would the Dove.
He really did not understand women these days. But then had he ever? His folly to see affection and perhaps kindling love in the eyes of the Royal Princess was eating at his pride, as much as as it was eating at his sleep. And then there was his sister. She travelled as she wished with little to no consideration of his heart, how it worried. His vivid imagination seeing scenes that no man should be confronted with.
Petite slowed her pace, a wise horse that felt the folly of her Master's pace. And for a moment he tried to urge the Great Kent on, but soon ceased his attempts and turned his horse.
Fool!

*He watched his Prince leave and shook his head. He knew that he would not find her, not in the way she travelled. Jonathons eyes and ears though were more sensitive than that and the surety that he knew he would hid Prince would not find her; he was certain that he would. His old horse had a fine nose for the paths he travelled. Each cut much of the road off and set him nearer to the Dove. Yet she flew like the wind!. He could see that by the ground he knelt before and felt
Pox on it he thought before swinging his animal into action again and setting back on the faint trail. She was but three hours from him. With some luck he would catch up to her by the evening*

*they had arrived in much less time than she thought. Their horse, well spent now languished in the time they had as Sadhbh searched for the herb. She was pleased by how they came just before the dawn when the gathering of herbs was best for all. Inwardly she hoped even to find a spare plant to take home and try to culture. Weary eyes looked about at the splendour of religious ferver. These beehives once held men of deep faith and renowned legend. Just being here made one understand the deep serenity and peace they bore. With hushed respect she searched till she found the patch that spoke of extraordinary healing. She prayed that the legends were true. Sadhbh gathered some leaves and placed them in the satchel then chose a fine young plant to take home. Their return journey would be slowed yet it may prove valuable. The men took up the plant and placed it in a goatskin cloth.
Their task ended they took time to rest and eat before making the journey back home*

*she was glad to be returning to the comforts of a tall stout wall of protection. The fear that rolled across the hills about Windstorm could temper the hardest desire to remain strong. People, simple, honest and true had resolved to do their best for their King yet natural fear for the worst lay in their pure hearts. The sight of Windstorm soldiers bolstered some hearts and made others sink. Whispers would sing out; some spoke that no soldier would be out of Windstorm if things were as bad as many believed, others said that the soldiers run to a falling castle. They rode on... deep into the night and the next day. They had to avoid the sudden emergence of patrols on the dales and tread carefully now. She began to regret her action of hasty youthful practicality. Sadhbh wanted to help so much and now she had laid trouble before these men. How she prayed for these few about her. She had come to know them, honest, goodly men they were, noble and true to their King. It made her smile as she was reminded of the men she knew from Kent. Iffn such men exist in Windstorm in great numbers then no wind or hail or army from the Franks would destroy the walls of Windstorm or more importantly what Windstorm stood for.... ...and so...
they rode on...
