Visiting Royalty

Their first reaction when they heard of the Gloriarc making berth in the Windstorm harbours had been relief. Lady Simone and the queen had just been speaking of the unexpected delay of the ship and considered possibilities for what happened. A storm could delay any ship. A cautious captain could chose a later tide when the weather was too bad. And sea travel just... had it's own unexpected surprises. They would have to take measures though, if Ulbrecht was nae here in time.

While they were considering possibilities a messenger from the harbour entered within the great hall to say the Gloriarc had been sighted. Relief. And surprise when later, as Ulbrecht made his way into the hall, 't was nae just him who was announced, but his father King Magnus as well. For moment both Ladies seemed to be disquieted. Edfeil out of fear that ought was amiss in Fryseland, and Simone... for reasons nae known to the queen. Yet the moment was soon smoothed over as Magnus kindly greeted them and reassured them that all was well in Fryseland. A visit then to coordinate wedding plans? Or was there more?

A quiet buzz amongst the Castle servants, firstly of the news of the Princes father visiting once more, but added to that the stories of how late in the evening after the arrival of King Magnus and Prince Ulbrecht, they had been observed to adjourn to the library, along with not only Gregor and Dieter, but the visiting Knights of the Order of the White Lion, all but the youngest, a Squire in the Order, having not yet earned his spurs, who stood guard in the hallway outside the library door to make sure they were not disturbed. It didn't take long for the Guard on duty to notice such, and the story spread from person to person quickly.

By the next morning the King had a proper room and a serving girl as a personal attendant to see to His needs and comforts whilst in Windstorm and Cara herself decided quickly that there would be additions to each meal for the time being, more pottage, more meats and breads and more sweets for each meal to be given every day.The King would be well versed in the Hospitality of Windstorm Castle!

Simone was quite surprised when King Magnus returned with Ulbrecht, and has since spent more time either in her room or wandering the grounds either in the Courtyard or the Gardens. Less time spent in the Great Hall as she normally did.. One would think she was avoiding someone...
