She nae knew the man. That was true. She had but met him the eve before, but he had apparently lived here some ten years ago, so some in the village would probably remember him. And it was true that Ian's cabin had been empty and probably going to waste. The Rangers were doing excellent work within the forest, keeping the paths and roads safe, keeping an eye on the animals and making certain nae predators diminished the population too much. Yet, though she had nae considered such before it would be good to have a steady presence within the forest, a home base. And a place for the rangers too to exchange information easily and to have a bit of human comfort. She would talk to them. See what they thought of the idea, and of the man. For some reason, the men of the wood often were able to easily take the measure of a man. They cut to the essentials quickly.
She knew from the few glances exchanged that while Gregor approved of the idea, he was a bit more wary than she was in welcoming a stranger. Still.. Windstorm's hospitality would nae be altered. They would be cautious, aye, but nae suspicious. The man was offered hospitality, and they would work out the details in the next days to see iffen the position would suit all of them.

There would be fresh linens and water drawn and heated for the Visiting Forester food sent up whilst he rests from his journey. Windstorm Hospitality would be upheld on her end e'en if she was nay feeling the best.It was naught hers to judge or decide aught. That duty would belong to the Royals and Council of Windstorm...For now Cara simply kept her workers busy within the scullery and around the Castle proper.
