...is in the village of Windstorm...
ALL: In the early hours of the morning she had commandeered a corked clay bottle, measuring at around one pint, from the Kitchen. And she had filled the bottle with vinegar, until it came to half a pint full. Being that she was now part of the Home, she did not feel there would be any qualms if she borrowed a iron kettle, so that is what she did, which she had fastened securely to the side of Dante's saddlebag and had been carry around with her for the day thus far. Arriving at the Village later then she had hoped for, she took the familiar route towards the Smithie. Guiding Dante along the main road for a short period, before steering him down a more narrow path, the sounds of the anvil being smashed against, metal against metal, rang out through the air and was a sign that they were fast approaching the Smithie. Dismounting Dante before she was upon him, she took the reins in hand and called out: " Good day to you " the Smithie stopped hammering a sword he was straightening out and looked to Adel with recognition. It was her forth visit here in a short time frame. " We really must stop meeting like this " she smiled, as did the Smithie. " Tell me, goodman. Do you have any shavings of iron or small cut pieces that have formed in the way of chunks or tiny balls? " Well, that really wasn't a request that he received every day, but what with the constant hammering of swords, straightening, cutting to be just right, there was bound to be some left over pieces, fragments that could no longer be used. He disappeared from sight and into his shop, only to return a few minutes later with a small sack pouch, handing it over, she was quick to ask: " How much do I owe you? " but this time, he raised his hand and shook his head. She had been a frequent customer, and he valid the loyalty. Plus, it wasn't much iron. Bidding farewell, she disappeared up the path with Dante in toe.

ALL: Browsing from one shop to the next and even peering towards the odd stall every so often, she found it to be a hard task to find the next item that she wanted. Dante followed close behind, doing well to avoid the people and it had to be said, there was a great number out on this day. Finally, she came to a shop window that had in its display jars of crystals and liquids of all different colours. Hmm, she wasn't sure if this was the place she was looking for, but only one way to find out. Giving Dante a firm reassuring pat on the side of his neck, she left him where he was and entered the small shop. Pushing the door open, a tiny bell rang, that was positioned just above the door to alert the shopkeeper of customers. " Greetings, my dear " came the sound of a very frail voice from behind the counter. Walking closer to the voice, she returned the greeting: " Ah, greetings to you also...I was... " before she could state what she wanted, a little old woman stood up from behind the counter and stepped out into the light further, pointing her crooked arthritic finger in Adel's direction " Let me guess, you seek to enhance your love life, am I right? " the look on Adel's face absolutely priceless, beyond shock: " I beg your pardon, goodwoman, one is a unwedded Lady... I seek no such thing! " a hacking laughter roared through the shop, and the tiny woman came over and tapped Adel on the back " Oohhh sweet child, I have to get my kicks some how... now, what can I do for you lovie? " letting out a sigh of relief, she glanced about the shop, eyes roaming over the jars. " Yes... one was wondering if you had any alum? " the old woman, who was bent over, wandered away from Adel and began to read one label after another, seeming to struggle. Adel stood.....patiently.

ALL: Around 30 minutes would pass them by and the sweet old lady was still repeating: " Alum...alum...alum... " while side shuffling and examining each and every one of the jars. Adel was leaning up against the counter by now, clinging onto her sanity, until finally she heard: " Ah ha! Alum! " she jolted upright as the woman took the jar off of the shelf and carried it carefully over towards the counter. There was a weighing scales sitting ontop, the woman now asked: " At what quantity? " hmm, she hadn't really thought about how much she would need. And stood with a thoughtful deep gaze upon the woman, who stood silently and with the patience of a saint. " Uuuh... " her eyes searched the empty vials and various different sized containers behind the counter and on a shelf. Pointing towards the container which could hold a cupful, she nodded: " Please, that one " the woman took the cup with its lid down from the shelf and then disappeared out back. It was another 30 minutes or so that she would stand there idle..almost nodding off in this heat of the day. But eventually, of course, the old dear returned and sat the cup on the weight scales, then began to place weights on the other size, estimating a final price. Once she was satisfied, there was a small amount of banter, apparenting to lower the price, even if it was a fraction. In time, the pair came to an agreement, and both parties went their ways with a smile. Back outside, she again mounted Dante, and urged him to leave the village now.

•MAIN ROAD•
...is on the main road between the village and the castle...
ALL: Humming quite contently to herself along the main road, Dante travelled a brisk pace. Keen eyes searched the land scape, seeking out a large oak tree. Hmm, she could have sworn she had seen a number of them dotted around when leading towards the Castle. Oak trees were most common, so it shouldn't be too hard. Gaining to a speedy trot, they drew closer to the Castle at a more faster rate now. It was only when she spotted a large oak tree, that she pulled suddenly on the reins to the left, and Dante veered off into that direction. Pushing up on the stirrups, her rear was raised from the saddle and urged Dante to gallop quickly towards the target, that being the oak tree. Approaching the tree in no time whatsoever, she commanded Dante to drop, which he did with a loud ney. Practically jumping down from the saddle, she scanned the ground, all the way around the base of the tree. Every so often, she'd dip low and pick up a gall nut. Lucky for her, some creatures who no doubt lived in the tree had knocked some out and well, now she had an amount that she could work with. Cupping both her hands, her palms became full and she steadily walked to Dante and poured them into the saddlebags. Hmm, she had a satchel in the opposite bag, but that could wait. Climbing back onto Dante, she headed towards the Castle once more.

•COURTYARD•
...is somewhere in the courtyard...
ALL: It had been her first thought to carry out the recipe within the forest, but didn't want to be out there too late and a fire would definately attrach unwanted attention. So she decided to do her prepearing in the Hall, along with boiling that needed to be done, over the roaring flames. After travelling the full length of the main road, she came to her final destination for the day, the Castle. Breezing through the gates, she stopped Dante near the entrance of the Castle. Dismounting for the countless time this day, she circles to his rear and dips her hands into one of the saddlebags, producing a carrying satchel. In to the satchel went the pouch of iron shavings, the cup of alum, the half pint of vinegar in the pint clay bottle and the two handfuls of gall nuts, along with a scroll. Ah, not forgetting the iron kettle that she had attached to Dante's saddlebag too. With everything she wanted removed, she instructed the stable boy to take Dante for a well earned rest. As for her, there was still much to do. Long strides carried her into the corridor.

•GREAT HALL•
...is within the Great Hall...
ALL: Strolling into the Hall with a satchel hanging from her left shoulder and a iron kettle grasped in her right hand, she made straight for one of the long tables which was situated nearest to the fire. Placing the satchel and iron kettle down on the wooden surface, she scratched lightly at the side of her head in thought. Clapping her hands together gently, she rubbed them lightly up and down. Now, all she needed a mortar and pestle. The Kitchen should definately possessed such an important tool. Her hands now hovered over the satchel she had laid down, as if to say 'stay'. It was only now that she lifted her gaze and began to look about the Hall.

Dorian HawkmoonWindstorm: (( And Sarah )) Though she did not want to be rude enough to interrupt an ongoing conversation, she equally did not want to appear as though she was out right ignoring the two faces that she currently recognized within the Hall. And so, from where she was standing at the table, she gave out her greetings. " Greetings Sir Dorian, greetings Sarah. One hopes the day has treated you both well? " she asked, her eyes set upon the pair, before absentmindedly glancing towards the door that would lead off to the kitchens.

Lady Adel de BlakelandXT: Taking his gaze from sarah, having both heard Adel, and seem her from the corner of his eye...was about to greet when she actually beat him to it. As he'd turned to greet, he noticed that she had a few...shall we say...odd items...that she had brought into the Hall with her...tilting his head a bit, as he greeted..."Good evening, Adel...have you decided to take up cooking as a hobby?"

ALL: " The day has certainly been a very fruitful one for me, so therefore, I am quite content " she replied to Sarah, with a soft smile now painting across her lips. And Sir Hawkmoon almost asked in unison with Sarah as to what she had here or what is it that she was deciding to take up. Downcasting her eyes towards the satchel, which kept the items out of sight for now and the big iron kettle, she supposed it did look as though she was about to brew something up. All she could do was laugh, her....slaving over a stove? When that day came, Ha'des would certainly freeze over. Or perhaps, one of these days, she may just settle down.....buwha......buwhahahaha an amusing thought. " Tis somewhat of an experiment, if one is honest, and I am being completely sincere with you both when I speak these words " It was an experiment of sorts, but one that she knew what the outcome would be.

ALL: " Oh... " came the single word that could mean so many things with different tones, this time it was spoken with surprise, giving the impression she had forgot something. And before those few moments past before the 'oh' escaped her lips, she had opened the satchel and began to line up the items. A clay pint bottle containing vinegar, a cup of alum, a pouch full of pieces of iron and then scattered across the table, the gall nuts " ... uh, I shall be needing to take a small trip shortly. Yes, a business venture, you could say. Be there anything that either of you be wanting outside of the lands Windstorm? " she asked, most graciously and it was rather kind of her, if she does say so herself. It was then that Sir Hawkmoon would ask his question, and she did not hestitate a single second in answering him: " It would not interest you too much. For it is more the liking to the female gender " she laughed sheepishly " Vanity, a terrible sin, indeed " and she left it at that.

" Excuse me, could you be so kind as to fetch one a mortar and pestle? Dorian HawkmoonWindstorm: A fine brow quirked at Sir Hawkmoon's suspicion, and it baffled her as to why he found a simple array of items to hold a sinister meaning. Picking up the clay bottle. " Vinegar, it is natural. " putting the bottle down, she then picked up the iron shavings in the sack pouch " Iron, another natural element " and she went from one to the next, picking them up and stating that all were natural. " Not a single item here would harm a fly. Tis for cosmetic purposes, that I alone shall be using. Do you not trust me, Sir Dorian? " she asked, with both brows now raised in anticipation to his answer.

Looking towards Sir Hawkmoon for a long moment, she removed the lid to the kettle and put it to one side. And she wanted to laugh, but she did not, because for once, she felt like she had one over on Sir Hawkmoon, that is to say, that she knew something that he did not. " Ooohhh Sir Dooooriiian. A man can not be expected to know the secrets of a woman's beauty expeditions " glancing towards Sarah, nodding for confirmation. " You have not answered my question, so I shall assume you do not trust my word. So I say again, this is for comestics use, for me alone " her words came out calmly, but she was somewhat hurt and disappointed that he did not trust her word. But she supposed she just simply should get use to that. Sitting herself down on the bench at the table, she began to peel back the shells from the gall nuts, one by one, side glancing towards Sarah with a bright smile.
