ALL: Cara had spoken to you Máire the eve before after she had interviewed with Sir Dorian, such a time had seriously set a fright in her. She had spent quite a time begging forgiveness and assuring Her that she had naught meant any harm by speaking to the man since he had caused her to lose what she had bought.Cara had spent the rest of the eve and most of the morn assuring her she was in no trouble t'all and all would be well....Now she worked pon the afternoon meal making sure all the lassies and lads knew what they were spose to be doing.

Cara McKennaCook of Wind: After Simone had completed the mending she had been working on she'd returned the basket to Mollie and retired to her room to see to a few other things... Having been alone with her thoughts for a while made her realize that even though writing them down had done little help, perhaps speaking to a friend of them would help... and there was only one person she knew she could confide in over what was going on within her mind... So it was that she made her way out of her room and to the Kitchens... As she stepped inside she would look around for a long moment at what was being done before she would speak. "Good day Cara. If perchance, you are not too busy could you spare a few moments for a word in private?"

Cara McKennaCook of Wind: When they entered Simone's room she would nod and allow the door to be shut firmly, "It is not something bad, I assure you of that.. or that I have done anything wrong... but it is of a personal matter, and something I am none to proud of." She admitted as she paced around for a moment before stopping and sitting upon her bed with her knees drawn up, smoothing her skirts to occupy her hands more than anything as she pondered just where to start.. She was silent for a while before finally speaking... "Do I love in vain?" She asked at length, and those she asked it was some what rhetorical, this given away by the tone of her voice... "I fear I might." She paused again, and figured she might ought to explain why the question was posed.

It will be but a short while before her Majesty and Prince Gregor marry. I am so very happy for them, and I believe in all truth they are a good pairing." She paused there and pushed a hand through her hair... "I see Sir Dorian and Sarah, they are so happy together as well. I am happy for them, but then..." Now she frowned and looked away, "I am ashamed to admit, though I do not wish otherwise for them, I envy what they have." She looked out the window for a long moment letting her thoughts churn, though it was obvious not all had yet to be revealed.

"It would make sense, would it not... To punish a woman who ran from her marital vows... regardless of the reason... who began to fall for another man before she was widowed.. What I did, it was wrong... Even if I did it for my own safety. Had I been a better, more obedient wife perhaps running would not have been necessary... So would it not make sense that this be my punishment for such?"

"Oh what I would give to be able to say those words to a Court some days.." She said and shook her head.. "I do not know though Cara... I feel as though it is unfair to him as much as to myself. Being so near, and yet... no where near one another, if that makes any sense... It is bittersweet. My time around him, I can not even explain how much I enjoy it... But to know it may never matter-" She shook her head. That was a hard thing to swallow, "And it can not be any better for him, would it not be-" She paused as she realized where she was going with that sentence.
