Now the date had finally been set, it was the right time to instigate gifts and such for Edfeil. The chest was placed in an empty room on the ground floor and every Servant had been instructed to inform all members of their home in a quiet manner so as the contents could be given to Edfeil a few days prior to the Wedding. The village Carpenter and his Sons had stopped most of their normal work to produce it and used their very best Oak from stocks that had come from Windstorm lands. It felt fitting as this had been Edfeils home for so long now. Dream had her own chest that Edfeil had filled with linen and lace, and now it was her turn to show their Queen just how much she was loved and respected. Placed at the bottom of the chest was a simple quilted throw that Dream had been working on. The fabrics had come mostly from remnants of gowns and other materials left over. There was nothing fancy about the quilt, just odd shapes sewn together to produce a larger piece, that in turn was sewn and knotted through a cotton backing that had been filled with feathers and wool collected from the local farms. Dream was no expert in the art of the needle, she left that to Edfeil herself to create the tapestries and beautiful adornments in the Castle, yet this piece she had made with love and care, hoping it would remind Edfeil of her home in Windstorm wherever she found herself in future years. ((Hoping other gifts may be placed here, pictures or descriptions...please feel comfortable sharing as the chest fills with Hope and love for our Queen and her future Husband.))

The twins were so excited about the Wedding, and they had, like many others been saving thier coins to purchase a gift for their beloved Queen. The Brooch was made from pewter and set with three small nuggets of Turquoise. They believed the stones to be a protector, as Edfeil had both protected and nurtured them since they had come to work and live in the Castle. More like a Mother than a ruling Queen at times, they respected and cared for her greatly and wished only good health and happiness to follow her always. Placing the Brooch, wrapped in a muslin cloth, they prayed for hope and all good things to come for the Bride and Groom.

Perran was beaming with pride as he placed the newly made leather journal into the chest. He laid it carefully so as not to disturb the gifts already there and stood for a moment as he closed the heavy lid again. He was a proud young man this day, not only because he had crafted the journal himself, with a little help from the tannery menfolks, but because he was proud of his Queen and home. He loved his work here and had settled into it as if born to be a stable hand. He knew his family, his Grandfather would in turn be very proud of him and the life he had forged here. In silent prayer, he wished his Queen and her betrothed a happy union and wondered how many little ones there would be running about in the near future. Smiling then he turned and went back to his work.

Would love to see any/all gifts, messages or simply thoughts for the happy couple added. On the day itself it will be busy in the room so if you would like your images or scripts to be saved please feel welcome to place them in the chest. Many thanks and kind regards.

A late delivery is made for the newly married couple, with a note attached. The captain delivering it apologizes profoundly for the tardiness, but the storms on the Mare Nostrum are appalling at this time of the year. Dear Edfeil,
may the Goddess smile upon your marriage and bring you blessings within it. In my lands, Aphrodite is worshipped as the Goddess of love and beauty. This tree comes from her temple in Troy. The rose is sacred to Aphrodite, and it is my hope that as this tree grows in your garden, so will your love for one another.
Signed,
Hippolyta
