*She was aware of the Rangers....discreetly keeping their distance as always... and yet....this time they wished to be closer. They too had people here....those they lost either in Battle or from simply ageing. She lowered her eyes as she knelt upon the soft grass....her hands were clasped together as if in prayer...her breathing hard...anxious...almost an anger surfacing.
They did not often witness such from her, but of late, her mood swings caught them unawares....for this time they would tread with more care around her...more thought within their words. Perhaps she was not as strong as some would have her be.
She simply stayed kneeling.....her words a mere mumble....but she had so much to say to him.. to ask of him.....she glanced up the the wooded cross....she had tears within her eyes as she gazed then at the name carved within the old plank. Aelric
It was hard to watch her..... they wanted more than anything to comfort her to assure her.... but not this day ...not now.... comfort was not meant to be found.*

Letha had meandered through the castle, seeking the Lady Dream, guessing she'd nae have sought the Great Hall, but checking anyway on her way outside.
Perhaps the favored duck pond, or the gardens . . her pace halting and indecisive, wanting to find the Lady as quickly as possible, but her steps heavy with dread and at such a loss as to what to say if and when she found her . .
No, not there . . the stables? She'd never seen her there, but . . went to try . .
The chapel, the . . oh dear heavens . . the cemetary? Would she have? . . There, her lovely figure unmistakable ~ still, unmoving . . Letha moved closer, unsure whether to intrude upon the Lady's vigil there, but somehow she needed to hear her speak, to listen to her . . to gain from her what she could . .
Gathering her courage, second guessing each halting step towards her, she came to stand very close, and looked at the name carved upon the marker Dream knelt by . . wondering if would be wise to speak the name aloud, yet daring to risk it . .
"Aelric . . . *gently, she knelt beside her* Tell me of him, Dream . . who was he? "

*She had not heard Halethala.... until she spoke.....and then, as she allowed better memories to enter her mind, she smiled and turned to look at the Lady who was now kneeling beside her. She was growing closer to her....she called her friend.....indeed, she was a comfort...a companion on lonely days. Thoughts of the last battle and blood shed left her as she started to speak..... for this moment she saw only an older man and her beloved together.*
"'tis Aelrick.....simply a man Letha....but a goodly man."
*She smiled more as she explained more of him and the past....telling of how close he had become to them as a family..... how he was likened to a Father to Robin for many a year. His dedication, honour and caring heart had won her over when first she had lost her heart to her Husband. He had stood fast against many a foe in the early days before even Robin had ventured to Windstorm. She spoke of many happy times spent in his company...a feeling of safety....a feeling of calm always whenever she did seek his wisdom.
Her smile faded as she told of his passing... unable to fight the last battle....too old to find the strength to recover from his wounds. She then sighed as she remembered bidding her final farewell to him and how distraught her Robin had been for some time...and still how close he was held in their hearts.*
"Ye see..... simply a man..... whom we did love and cherish....but...'twas taken from us Letha.....for ...'tis the way of things."
