Message for the King

*He had arrived quite out of breath.......almost startling her as she finished the last of her tea. Grave news he had said.... word should reach the King.....many were killed and Captain Tyrun taken.

She had stood....the cup had fallen as her hand lost its grip....she shook her head....her words faltered...anxious...afraid....distraught. There had been a fight on board the ship...the Goellette he said...one of the Frank vessels. The good Captain had been hit hard upon the head....he had witnessed it all but his leige Thorgrimm had thought better than to intervene. He waited upon his ship for instructions.

Halethala had been there...she too did not believe the words from this messenger at first......and then realisation had dawned... it began... blood had been spilled and no peace was to be found.


She had bid him a safe return then and ran to seek Marcus......finding the lad..she conveyed all to him....her words jumbled and filled with terror for the Captain's safety. Marcus had promised to tell the King forthwith and began to run towards his chambers.*

Suddenly, my fist slams down onto me desk, shattering a tankard adn plate in one mess across the scrolls and maps.

" Marcus..send word I wish Dorian back within this castle.. As fast as he can ride.. The time has come, to end this and sink those blasted ships to the bottom of the harbour. "
