A lone Knight arrives at the gates of Windstorm early in the morning. The fog has not yet lifted and it appears as if he has rode striaght out of it frokm no where. Hail there you in the castle I seek shelter and food I claim this in the the name of hospitality and Chivalry. As the gates have not yet been opened due to the early hour a lone guard calls out. (Who goes there? What is your business Sir Knight?) I am a traveler from accross the sea from the lands called Saxony and seek one thee know as Roland de Saxe. Will you let me enter? I come in peace and wish nae harm to any within these walls "I will be a moment Sir Knight I will pass word to the Sgt. of the guard and let him decide" said the guard on duty.

*as the Master Sergeant was roused from his sleep in the guardquarters, he was awake instantly. Years in the field did that to a man. It didn't take long for him to be armed and ready and at the gates. Travellers were welcomed at each day and night. But when the gate opened at night, one of the officers would be present. A mere precaution in dangerous times.
It didn't take long for the heavy iron gate to be opened, and patiently the Master Sergeant awaited the traveller in the vague, torch lit courtyard.*
Welcome, M'lord. To Windstorm Castle.

(Removing his helmet to show raven colored hair with streaks of grey at the temples and strong handsome face the knight spoke). I am Field Marhsal Phoenix. I have come with a small party who follow me about a day's ride behind me. We have come from Saxony to see your Lord Roland de Saxe. I have important words for his ears only. I will require a room for myself and one for a lady of the Royal House of Stormbringer. The rest can set up camp beyond the castle walls. We do not wish to intrude upon your hospitality greatly.
The Sargent as part of his duites takes in the Coat of Arms the knight bears. His surcoat is quartered azure and sable. On the first and the fourth Fluer d'Lis argent and on the second and third a Phoenix Or. The Sargent has seen a simular design and remembers it was close to that of Lord Roland his being per pale Sable abd Azure a Phoenix Argent rising from flames proper.
We come in peace and I wish to see Lord Roland as sooon as possible.

Nae sure what woke her this morn, as she usually lets the morning sun bring her back from dreams that she nae wishes to leave. Sitting up, opening her eyes to a dim and damp room, placing her barfeet upon the fur covered floor.... thinking she hears some noises outside her open window...* hum... wonder what is going on now...and so early in the morn as well...?*
STands up and leans back as far as her limber body will take her, getting her body back into alignment ... placing hands on her hips... then lifting them into the air....stretches and stands on her tip toes as she yawns... walks to the windown and leans out looking deeply into the fog... trying to see what is going at this hour of the morn.... thinking she hears the voice... * blinks* and leans down even lower.... balancing her hips on the ledge of the window... as if she is about to lift into flight... *listens with intence curiousity*.... * smiles as she listens, knowing this sounds like a voice she knows well.....
*whispers ....Phoenix? Oh ! IT can nae be....? or can it? Pushes herself off the window ledge and stands in the middle of her chambers.... stumming her finger over her lower lip.... ... " the voice sounds like one she has spoken with fondly... rather like a father and a daughter..... and the name is truely that of his....... but tis it really him? Is there another with this name, but the voice, can there be another with that same bass voice...?
She questions all she thinks she has heard..... and thinks back to those days long ago...wondering, hoping and praying it be so.....

(Entering the rooms of Lord Roland I kneel as I approach) Dear uncle there is nae reason for thee to kneel before me we have been most loyal friends since my birth. Please rise, says Lord Roland.
(As the Phoenix rises sorrow is seen on his face) nephew I bring thee sad tidings. I know nae how to tell thee but straight away. There was a small skermage at our borders and thy father went to lend a hand. The men rose to his banner and fought bravely. The battle was won but in the end. I am sorry Your grace but your father lies in wait at the castle for your Mother's return. She is here? Now? exclaims Roland.(Pacing back and forth). I should have known when they told me you had arrived that there was somehting amiss. But this, how is my Mother taking it? She is a strong woman Roland and she is holding things together until the new heir has been declared. This king of yours needs be informed as soon as possible. Your Mother has also asked to speak to lady Andrea as soon as possible. For what reason I ave no idea. Who else is here with you uncle? Only a few knights to provide safe escort for us all and her maid and 2 ladies inwaiting, said the Phoenix.
I will go and speak to my Mother later. For now I wish a full report on the state of the country and this battle thee speak of.
Aye your Grace.
