*After his greeting from his friend, Sinold, the Knight quietly rode to the stables and found the stable boy....Leaving instructions to the lad to bathe and feed Mortis, he walked towards the castle proper.
He nodded to various guardsmen along the way, and as they noted the rather sour look upon his face, they did not impeed, nor ask questions..except for one poor fool, who's answer was an icy glare..to which the man gulped several times, then stood aside to allow the knight to pass in peace.
Upon entering the Hall, he gazed about to see if any where present...then hailed a servant to bring him food and ale. Taking the plate and mug brought to him, he sat in the seat he vacated what seemed like ages gone by, and made himself comfortable.
After devouring the roast, he sat back in the chair and stretched his legs before him, crossing them at the ankle, and quietly drank his ale...
Gazing about again, he wondered where everyone was....*#nosmileys

*She had finished in the gardens.......all was prepared now and she thought perhaps to return to her chambers for a while....there was always something to tend to...letters to write and of course her Daughter to spend time with.
Brushing the loose hair from her face she pushed open the garden doors....stepping inside the Hall once again. Her eyes took a few moments to become accustomed to the darker tones and shadows, at first she did not see him there.
She closed the door behind her and was about to lift a vase of flowers from the side table....some of the blooms past their best, but perhaps some could be saved. It was then, as she turned....he suprised her....stretched out quite comfortably in the chair. He looked quite well....no apparent injuries she could see...but there was something about his features that told her he was in no mood for trivialities.
As she carried the vase carefully within her hands...she stepped forward and spoke softly lest he should be sleeping.*
"Sir Thanatos.......'tis indeed an honour to greet ye within Windstorm once again......".
*She did not ask more of him...but all the while wondered if all was well.*

*She had entered the great hall to find her eyes greeted by a welcome sight: that of a guest returning and refinding the warmth of the hearth and the pleasures of their company. With a quiet smile she greeted the Lady Dream, her words a whisper in which she could nae deny the pleasure* I hope we may ready a room anew?
*Only then realising mayhap the rudeness of her actions, she curtsied -a habit she tried to break- in greeting to Sir Thanathos and with warm words welcomed him.* 't be good indeed to see ye returned, M'lord. I pray the day be treating ye well?
*Like M'lady Dream she let the laws of hospitality prevail, nae asking the questions that burned within. Where had he been? What had happened? And most of all: was all well?*

Mewling lightly to those that are here as I roll on the floor and then getting to my feet I runn around the great Hall chasing anything I can chase.

*Still holding the vase of flowers... she smiles as the Princess enters...nodding to her words.*
"Aye... of course M'Lady... I was nae sure iffn he would be staying in the Tavern. I am expected by cook and shall make sure a room be well aired and made comfortable."
*With a smile towards Sir Thanatas....she turned then and almost tripped over Midnight. Chuckling softly....she stepped with care and made her way to the Kitchens, all the while deciding which blooms could be saved within the vase.*
