Time for a new thread for a new month! It's definitely come in like a Lion for us, the wind last night shook the house like it was trying to get the last cornflake out of a cereal box. We still have lots of snow, only one day warm enough to do much melting yet. But it'll come . . spring is in the sky, bluer with a kindness the air has not yet caught hint.
Dream, the Home and Garden Show we went to was a bit of a disappointment, but we both agreed our favorite display was the English Garden . . *wistful look* Mostly fake grass, although there was actually some displays with very sorry looking real sod . . but the flowers were real and gorgeous!
Wishing everyone a wonderful week!

It is a chilly start to the new Month here, but nowhere near the temperatures some of you are experiencing. I do sympathise as I find the cold weather chills me to my bones! Super to see you Stina and Letha I did enjoy the link you sent me.....nothing quite like and English Garden! It was Mothering Sunday here so we collected both Mum's and enjoyed a quiet day with them. Between us we cooked a nice meal and I even made apple pie *L* That went down a treat. Then I munched away at my gifts during the evening......a nice day indeed. Wishing you all good weather and lots to smile about always.

I'm having a killer headache today. Had one yesterday as well. Not sure what it is. Probably the constant changes in the weather. I hope everyone is doing ok.

Hello!!! *waves to everyone*
Wow.. it's been a while since I've been here.. RT is quite busy these days... I started exercizing - going to Curves 3x a week, and it feels good, but has taken a chunk of time.
I'm also contemplating what my next move should be job wise, as my health insurance is so prohibitively expensive that I need to either find a job that includes it or find a way to make a lot more money! *L*. That reality has been daunting, another reason I've been away... At the same time, I am at a point in my life where I can start to do things differently, so it is an exciting time... and contemplative. I just need to decide what I really want... another daunting task.. be careful what you wish for, you know... *L*
I didn't see any of February's thread, I don't think, so if there's anything major, someone let me know, please?
Hope all are well and thriving! Sending lots of hugs and kisses to those that want 'em!

How wonderful to see you Eiluna! I have often wondered of you and am so very glad you are here again. Far too often we lose touch with those who make our hearts smile. I do hope you continue to visit and that life is kindly with many happy moments. to all as Thursday makes its presence known.......another week nearly over, I hope it is goodly and kind to you all.

Thursday... baby was 'diagnosed' with baby eczema yesterday. Now we need to grease the baby. Yuck. He is constantly slippery and greasy, but I hope it will help him get better so we don't need to continue doing this. Luckily it is not a big deal and he should grow out of it by himself, in the mean time, we have little bacon baby! In an hour we are going to Mother Goose Story time in the library. It's very cute: reading and songs and fingerplay for babies zero to twelve months. The weather today is very nice, but it is so changing, dropping twenty degrees fahrenheit in one day is not uncommon.

Joseph crawled yesterday for the first time. *grins* I am soooo proud. Today we will be driving to Hilton Head where I will spend the rest of the week with the royal husbands mother and Joseph will be admired and spoiled the way only grandmothers can do. I will have computer acces but it will be limited.

I'm using my husbands computer at the moment. In a few more hours he will go home because his plane for California goes very early tomorrow. Awww... five days without him. When he is back we will have to invest soon in a playpen, because our little boy is starting to get mobile. The 'crawling' at the moment is more of a slither, but he does get ahead. We already have had to rescue one porcelain stork. Time to start child proofing. It's a wonder isn't it that all of us survived childhood without our homes being childproofed? My mom just told me not to touch the electrical outlets, added a few horror stories and if I still displayed persistent curiosity about them slapped my hand just hard enough for me to get the message.
Life is getting a bit crazy here. I can't believe I will be moving in 47 days.

*waves from the coast* Well, not literally on the coast of course. By now Bill has been gone for the second day and I am feeling once again like a green widow. Silly, isn't it? I have such admiration for military wives and husbands on enduring the periods they have to be away from eachother. I get mopy and missing him when he is gone for two days. Joseph can not be left alone for a moment anymore. We will need that playpen very, very soon, because he slithers all over the floor, getting into whatever misschief he can. You know, with me being such a lazy baby, I thought I would have a lazy baby too. How silly of me. Joseph is one bundle of energy. He slept well last night, as did I. We are both being thorougly spoiled by Josephs grandma here in Blufton near Hilton Head and tomorrow we will probably make Joseph's first visit to the sea.

Awww . . so many Joseph "firsts" for you to gather up and treasure and I'm sure capture in a thousand pictures as you go!
Stina . . I hope you too are now awash in great growing puddles of melty snows? How I used to LOVE slogging through them when we were growing up, especially when they had skins of thin ice across them in the mornings. I simply HAD to go out of my way to crackle through one when I went out to check on the expectant cow this morning, though didn't venture out as bravely as I once used to as a child!
My gosh, Eiluna! So many choices you face, wishes to pursue! Curves is definitely a good one, among the many! I've contemplated doing the same . . someday *chuckles*
And Dreeeeeaaaam . . you really should share your marked triumph! Being able to walk further than you have in 10 years is wonderfully worthy of celebrating! It may seem a little thing, but I have to think it's often the little things that bring us more joy than those huge holiday-level events? At any rate, cheers to your achievement!

Dream: you really should share that story!! I want to hear all about it.
Today Bill comes home finally! The last two days I have been home alone and with all the firsts I can not leave my eyes off him for a moment. Basically, I just have to sit and watch, or sit and play with him or sit and feed him, as long as every single grain of my attention is on him. Even while I am typing this, I keep turning my head and standing up every few seconds to remove him from a new, impending disaster. This weekend we are buying a playpen, thank heavens. And our new house we will be able to baby proof. I HOPE it will make a difference. Is there actually a time before they are in pre school in which you can have just a little bit of time for yourself? I even need to wait till someone else can watch him to be able to shower. And since he is up from 7 am till 10 pm, with only one nap in between, I simply do not have time for ANYTHING. *sighs*

Wheee! It's getting warm here, the winter visitors are starting to pack up and trickle out (mass exodus will occur when it hits 90 for a solid week), and best of all my brother-in-law is home safe from his 2nd tour in Iraq. he can't ever be sent back to that (ahem!) mudhole again. YAY!

*laughs* Winter visitors? That seems like rather an oxymoron? *grins* And wow . . I can easily imagine your family's absolute relief at having him back safe and sound! Celebrate lots!
Ahhh Edie . . you really do just have to babyproof everything, or it'll drive you nuts! I remember watching some of our friend's kids just potter around not touching anything, but MY lovely children were as curious as could be! I thought I'd never survive. But trust me, it will get better once you have a few "corrals" to restrain him a bit! I wish I were closer, I'd take him for a few hours for you! *big hugs*
