{sitting in my chair by the hearth still confused a bit by the strange nomenclature of weddings after his disscussion with Lady Quinevre as I start to talk with myself} Right, I'm the groom, but I'm not seeing to anyone's appearance. The best man isn't the one getting married, the groom is, but the best man will help make sure I look right. Then we have the maid of honor, who isn't the maid I honor and cherish, but someone helping Rebecca. Urg the code of man is so confusing, no wonder they had to invent writing, I'm not sure anyone could keep all this straight in their heads!
{sets to pacing the grand hall and hopes it helps get more blood to the brain cause I'm going to need it} ok, one step at a time, things I do know. Clothes, right I can understand that one in Windstorm, expected it even. Have to check with Becca and see if'n she found a dress or seamstress yet. Hmm as for me {thinks hard} right gotta find something. Next food, well I havn't seen Dirty Dorg in well forever {ponders and pales a bit} oh that is going to be an Interesting conversation to say the least {looks to the kitchen door and swallows hard} well I havn't had any midnight kitchen raids in at lea {stops midword as he looks to the plate next to his chair with the half eaten meat pie on it} right don't mention kitchen raids when I ask cook if he'll do the catering. Now I know why weddings are in the domain of religion, lots of praying involved. {nods} Right, ummm location, few ideas there have to see what Rebecca thinks. Talked with Lady Beren about contacting Brother Archibald, right more praying involved here that he gets back to me in time or even gets the message in time.
{the time approching the mid of night I shake my head to clear the cobwebs as a lad runs into the hall fresh from the docks giving me the message that a ship I told him to watch for has arrived in the harbor saying a silent prayer and thank you and giving the lad a coin from my purse not even checking what it was} I feared it would never get here {sitting in my chair to finish the last of the evidence of tonights raid and sip from my goblet giving the ship time to dock}
{unable to wait any longer I make haste heading down to the docks scaring a few alley cats on the way that didn't here me approaching having forgotten for know to keep making sure I make sounds when I walk. Boarding the familiar ship and clearing the deck except for just a small set of guards as I approach the captain} Thank you for the speedy journey ol' friend, your bonus as agreed upon, and shore leave till I say otherwise, going to be needing my tools here. You brought what I asked for aye? {pulling a small pouch from under my surcoat and passing it to the captain as he passes me a small satin bag with a nod and without another word I take the step into the aft galley and bar the door}
{the lamps go on withing the rear structure of the ship spilling out through the cracks hear and there, and for the next several hours sounds of grinding and soft hammering can be heard over the surf. At one point crys of fire erupt at the docks, but the crew points out the metal pipe at the rear corner of the galley and adds statments like "yes the boat isn't on fire, no really it's not" and "don't worry about it, that nut does this all the time and we havn't been stranded yet"}
{the hours pass as the sounds of tinkering continue past the dawn and into the morning}
{finally the smoke stops flowing forth, and all sounds stop in the galley. A few moments later beaming with the success I step out into the light of the day, barely noticing the change. Looking to the guards on the ship and nod} 10 to 20 men {with those key words they all snapped alert knowing that if I was paying that much something was up closing the metal panel over the door, setting it's traps and locking it tight} and if anything is missing, you get nothing, do I make myself clear {they knew full well with the cargos they have carried this was no jest and nodded solemly} I picked this ship and crew because you are my best for this, I know you wont let me down.
{heading back to the castle again happy to have something to sink my teeth into that not only did I know about, but was a needed part of the preperations}
{taking the stairs two steps at a time as I head up to my chambers} right quick nap then I'll get back to it all
