Ever wondered what our ancestors did to dye their cloth? Well check this site out and see... to think..the humble onion skin is responsible for their shade of orange! Obviously some produce would not have been available in medieval times. I suggest that you check the previous site to confirm what is freely available or not www.pioneerthinking.com/naturaldyes.htmlEnjoy!

WOW, what a super site! Bookmarked already! And for those of the more Norse inclination , an excellent source of information about all aspects of Viking life can be found here: www.vikinganswerlady.com/You can also email that lady and get an extensive answer to things you've asked (I've done so on several occasions already)
