Hello, I received the following email from Thorgrimm's family on June 30th: I will miss him, more than I can say right now. I just opened my email today after a longer absense, and found this email message. I have asked for an address where we can send a card. I am at a loss for words. Thorgrimm my dear old friend - may Odin take you to Walhalla and give you feast galore! Please say a prayer or some well wishes to his family and him. He will hear you, just as Joeseph heard you when he passed scarce a year ago. Thank you all for remembering a great role player and human being!

I briefly had the pleasure of rping with him and the priviledge of his friendship. I am shocked and deeply saddened by the news of his passing. He was a dear kind man who I never forgot and who will always be remembered. My thoughts and prayers are with his family for their loss. My heart goes out as well to his family and friends of Windstorm. Blessed be your eternity my dear sweet Friend.

Our community as a whole is diminished at this news.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family

Thorgrimm was a name you know belonged in this home. And up till the end he always had something nice to say or make another feel better, either by words or by his works with his avs.
I was not 'close' to him but none the less I feel the sense of loss of another good man.
I've slightly lifted this from a quote from somewhere, some might know some might not. I've slightly edited to fit how I think right now.
The streets of Heaven are too crowded with another Angel now. Don’t let them be forgotten, don’t let them fade away.
I don't think any of us will forget him. My thoughts are with his friends an his families.

When I first read of this, many emotions washed over me.. not only in the face I am behind the character's face of Amyra, but as Amyra, herself.. in times like this I am always at a loss for what I hope to find as, the 'right' words to say and they always seem to escape me..
There are those that leave their mark in our lives, and Thorgrimm was for certain one of those I speak of.. I cannot say we knew each other well.. we did share several conversations in PM here on the boards, so we did get to know each other OCC'ly speaking.. somewhat and he surely had a heart of gold..
As for Thorgrimm the character and all the faces he wore, he was a fantastic storyteller and he has inspired me in my own roleplay.. I was always easily drawn in to his stories and am so glad we had the time that Thorgrimm and Amyra had together, if even briefly.. for certain a friendship that she will always hold dear to her.. always..
May ye find the winds in Valhalla ta always caress yer sails, my friend.. blessed be..

One of Thorgrimms many wonderful verses....... Sunshine you never know the intensity of its warmth until it goes away.
At the moment, words are not coming easily........but I know the memory of Thorgrimm and the player behind him will live on in many hearts for always. How often are we reminded of life being so short and that we truly do not ever know what waits around the corner for us........whatever road we are travelling...... My heart aches for his family.... and my thoughts are with all those who called him friend. Regretably I did not get to know him as well as I could have.......as is often the way online, but I admired him greatly and always will. Rest in Peace T and thankyou for all those wonderful poems and roleplays. Give my love to Joe when you see him, I know you two will have so much to share. xxxx

After yesterdays joy, to hear about the death of a friend seems extra hard. I am grateful to hear though that we as Windstorm managed to give him enjoyment in what turned out to be his last months. I knew he was not well, but I do not think any of us, nor he, expected him to go so swiftly. For me it seems as if the news is just not sinking in yet. I know he is in a better place now, and I try and take comfort of that!
He was a writer of great talent, and his contributions will be missed enormously on our boards. I have Thorgrimms RT adress. If anyone wants to send a message to the family, they could send it to me and I will include it in my card.

I was very sad to read of Thorgrimm's players passing.
I will miss him as a fountain of general knowledge. If I ever needed to know anything there was always a good chance that "T"would know the answer. If he didn't he'd make sure he found the answer for you. I will miss his writing skills because "T" was a great writer and his knowledge of the all things Viking made his stories a pleasure to read. But I will miss him most of all as a friend.
His family will, of course, miss him most of all. I hope that they will take comfort in the fact that so many others are thinking of them and keeping them in their prayers.

Sends a quiet prayer, smiling confident in the strength of Love and the God so many of us believe in.

His was such a beautiful soul . . my ideal of what a gentleman embodies. I've spent the morning wandering through his poetry thread once again, and as I told someone, of all the threads in all the boards I've ever played on through the years, that thread is the one I return to most often.
Dream shared one of his shorter poems, and I was touched at how often he hinted at the fate that awaits us all. I've tried to find something fitting to pay tribute to such an incredible heart, but kept returning to his own words . .
EARTHBOUND.
When I was young my dreams could take flight, And float on a sea of shimmering light. As I grew older, cares, problems and pains, Wreathed me about like dark leaden chains. So overwhelming their ponderous might, The shadows they threw would cut out the light. And so keep my feet set flat to the ground, In search of solutions never quite found. I long to regain that ethereal light, As my imagination once more takes flight, Then in its wonder once more to soar, And from that time be earthbound no more.
T.
The world holds a little less color with having to say farewell to him. We will miss him . . I'm grateful he left so much of himself with us through his words. I somehow hope that as he's freed from the bounds of this earth, he has found a light and unfettered beauty so exquisite that he can hardly bear it.

My prayers go out to his family and friends. I did not know him well, but we spoke on msn a few times and on the boards in pm a couple times, and I believe we had a small rp in the room when I first came here to Windstorm. An extremely talented av maker, he had done 4 for me. I considered him a freind and will miss him.
