Whatever you may think of RP, and whatever will remain in 10 years time, I am sure I have made some good friends.
I may seem distant at times, but well............we all have our own ways. As for me.........I so love to meet people in person. This weekend the player of Erin McGrault stayed with me for 4 days, and we had the bestest time!
Edie came over for one day too, and another RPer (unknown to you from the realm of vampires), Valentijn, visited too. We had so much fun.........and sooooooooooooooooooooooo much chocolate it was not even healthy anymore. Erin made a lovely Dunbrody Kiss (again chocolate) and my Tiramisu..........it collapsed completely, and was a disaster! Chucked it all away..............
Found out some interesting truths about Edie and........erm..................well........things. My xmas tree was mentioned again, causing the aforesaid Edie to allmost suffocate while laughing, imagining Valentijn as the leather clad angel in the top, and Erin kept bringing in more chocolate..........
chocolate easter egg, Dunbrody Kiss, cream filled irish chocolate, Roses Chocolate, and aero's; that matched with my orange and chocolate mousse and the chocolate brownies...............well I guess you will understand that I will not be eating any more chocolate, and my diet was shot to......................smithereens.
We did a lot of laughing, talking and lounging. I finally got rid of an old computer which is on its way to Ireland, to be disassembled and assembled............and oh!!!
Found out it is Erin's birthday soon................4TH OF APRIL!!!
In short ...........if all I get from my RP are friends like Valentijn, Erin and Edie............it is worth every bit of time I put in it!
Thank you, you three!

Those brownies... That Dunbrody Kiss Dreams muffins...
*just blisfully sighs*
And I don't know what the leather clad angel is about. That must be something from later in the eve after I had dissapeared. *L* But yes... I nearly suffocated at the christmastree. And you forgot to mention the illegal hooch Erin served us!

I am so glad to hear that Ya'll had been able to meet and enjoyed each other's company so well.
I too enjoy meeting friends I've made through rp and will again be given the chance in April to meet Daniel's player as well as His lovely wife and a number of other friends, at the Birmingham gathering.
There is nothing quiet like being able to hug your best friend in person for the first time.
There are no way I can properly convey the depth of love and friendship I've been able to find through this box of wires and lights.
Glad to hear others find the same life long friendships as I have.

Ah it was good to be finally in dear old "Kent" *g*. Sighehelm of course was a grand host and I enjoyed the company we shared. It was great seeing Edie and Valentijn who I had but met online but once. When they say that Easter Weekend is meant to be "death by chocolate"...they aren't kidding *L*. We had a cheese fondue the first night followed by a delicious orange mousse and on the night I met up with Edie and Valentijn we shared a nice carbonarra(sp?) and the Dunbrody kiss, not to mention the Roses chocolate and the Tiramasu (we managed to lick the plate before Siggy Poo dumped it all...phew...sooooooooooo goood!.) The next night was equally as good..but a lot...we had a very good dinner in a place called Julien. It was delicious!. I can still remember that Salmon Sandwich hmmmmmmm.... What was fun was watching the Dvds and chatting and having a laugh. Oh and I had a few first timers too!...Would you believe it...I had never been in a tram...I had not had champagne in years and I never had really good Sushi!. The people in Holland are friendly and they speak good english..thank heavens!. I would love to learn the language...but then that is always my dream to be proficient in a lot of languages. I have but a few afterall *L* The first time the airplane landed in Holland...the ramp that was to lead us out would not work...I was wondering if there was a conspiracy going on..they did'nt want me in their country *L* J/J. Aparently thats a rare thing to happen and I thought that it was funny. The people about me were in good form and were patient enough to wait the 1/2 hour that we had to wait. As for the "illegal" drink..hmmpf..its only Poitin...a little light on the taste...nothing that some cannot be..savoured after a large intake of chocolate...I was suprised that Edie was not bouncing about on the train back from chocolate deprivation *L*. It was a fun time and we laughed a lot, talked humourously and with seriousness. We even found to time to sit in a comfortable silence. I will remember my time in "Kent" well. I enjoyed myself very much.

So glad to hear ya'll had such a good time...I believe it is Love and friendship that keeps the heart and soul alive. Without one the other will surely break and parrish without the life blood that keeps us going. Friends get us through the hard times we face in our journies and help us celebrate the happy times as well. I have met many people thus far in my journey but the ones I hold near and dear to me I have met since deciding to join my dear Husband in the world of roleplay. Once again he was correct when he said there are so many wonderful and talented people in the world that live outside our own little world. How right he was. I have truly been blessed to call many 'friends' that live far and wide. A friend isn't limited to one that lives next door or down the street or across town. And how truly wonderful to finally meet a friend in person to give them that hug you always share through cyberspace. Just 27 days and counting Teresa. Daniel and I are sooooooooo looking forward to the time we get to spend with friends he has met and has yet to meet and for me those I have not met yet but have yearned to do so for some time now. And just 120 days until we get to share our time with dear friends across the big pond. How truly blessed we are this year to be able to do just that...WOW!!!!!!
