For those of you eagerly awaiting the arrival of the youngin', you will not have to wait much longer.
After consulting with the doctor this afternoon, we're going to the hospital this afternoon at 5:00 (EDT, 2100 GMT if you want to work from there). The TMI news is that Eva's cervix isn't dilating as much as the doctors would like, so she's getting some medicine this evening to help that along. After she's had it for 12 hours, if things are working as they should, they'll start with induction (i.e. about 5:00 tomorrow morning).
The hope is that the baby will make his debut in the early to mid afternoon tomorrow, but that's a bit of a guess.
Prayers would be much, much appreciated. Neither of us have done this before. And I know Eva in particular wanted to do it all naturally, but despite her best efforts, the baby doesn't seem to be cooperating. So, please pray that all goes well in the next 24ish hours and I'll pass along the information as soon as there's something to share.
