Within my heavy boots...
A weight upon my heart my head A road before me long and set A place to go not knowing where A weight that I alone must bear
Duty binds and fate awaits where calling leads me to. But now I stand before I go And fear what I will do.
For on this road that I will walk there is no more return And binding now my boots to go within me fate does burn.
A weight upon my heart my head A road before me long and set A place to go not knowing where A weight that I alone must bear.

Thank you all for your kind reaction. This is an 'older' poem. About half a year or so I think, and it's where my quote comes from.
Be soft of voice and gentle of bearing be kind of heart and gentle of hands
Be bright as the morn and still as the evening within you they'll find Gods love reborn.

For all mothers
In quiet nights and tireless days you've worked or simply listened
In spoken words or unshed tears you've told a tale that glistened
A world you wove of dutybound and endless chores unpraised
A tireless song of simple love and loving children raised
for mother is a name, a word that carries deep within
A core of care oft lifted up in quiet suffering
Yet joys there are and found in those for each and every day
the strength to carry on again as children find their way.
((In praise of all the mothers here in Windstorm. Jas, Dream, Letha and everyone else. Thank you.))

This is an oldie... but perhaps the only one of my teenage poetry that I still truely like...
Your eyes are searching Touching my face The end of the road Answers
Look above You The stars reflect my eyes The wind billows my voice The water sprinkles my eyes I am here
Within You I am Around You, I am I am I, I am You
Look around You, there I am Look at Your face in the mirror, there I am If You reach out, You feel my body If You trust Your dreams, You will find My soul
I am here. I am always.

There is warmth in the land joy in the hand of friends that give in good cheer
There is gleam in the eye song in the sky when those friends are gathered near.
There is love in my heart a new years good start Because all of you truly are here.

I haven't had much time lately to write poetry. But this one is a prayer that you might like as well.
Loneliness amidst a mass of people gathered loud.
Quiet words are often drowned by waterfalls of sound.
Pain alone and lost it seems but found.
Here at the foot of Jesus' cross, no need for deafening sound.
