I was challenged to write a six sentence story (apparently this is a task commonly given to high school students nowadays in English courses) and found it rather fun! The rules are to make it as long as possible without repeating a single word. Not as easy as one might think! *grins*
Ascending smattered slanted slopes beyond snow-bearded sentinels guarding ancient trails, with labored breath we climb. Perched upon horizon rimmed by frigid frosted fringed flitting shadows lay our goal. Scattered fractured crystal quilt artfully arrayed, catch and sparkle back bright light like dusted glitter beneath each stiff step. Mutual dancing swords yield treasure sought, yet without warm amelioration. Muted clouded words exhaled, hang, linger, fall, lodge in drifted sifted stillnesses. Impervious cold so deep even Sun’s best brilliance cannot thaw.
Anyone else want to give it a try?
