Well May has arrived here and most definitely carried a hint of Summer with it. 25C is just perfect for sitting in the garden and enjoying those simple pleasures. I am reading a book that has held me in its grasp for all of two days *LOL* I hope to finish it this afternoon after my chores. I love those that one cannot put down! Karin Slaughter at her best.
Life has been busy here in many ways of late.......we had several of those knots that appear in life's tapestry now and then.......finally those threads are unraveling and being sewn in as best they can. I keep telling myself all these things are 'do-able' *S* and they are thus far. Taking stock and keeping that positive head on is not always easy is it *S*
I do hope those moving are enjoying their new life and that sunshine and laughter find you! I noticed we have a new section on the boards showing recent visitors.....not sure where it came from but how nice to see so many names......Eiluna, Lynda, Telyn, Valerious and even Gaylor Martek!to name but a few. Perhaps time will be kind enough to allow them to return. It would be super to hear of their days. I think Windstorm boards are one of the few still active around the realms, I could be wrong of course, but let us hope we can always keep in touch at least here.......so often we lose people we got to know, even a little, and that is sad.
Well......May waffle at last from me.........wishing you all wonderfully happy and safe days!
Oh and Letha.....loved that image of the rocking chairs!

Moved this from the April board, since I posted it in May!
Hello, all!
RT has been killer for me... my mom has been in and out of the hospital for a few weeks, with different and some compounding issues, so my time here has been very brief. I have to admit, I've mostly just skimmed the thread, so forgive me if I don't respond to something directly.
However, I did see two things I want to comment on!
Eva, When my daughter was young and I wanted to try gardening, I found a book called "Square foot gardening" Now I"m realizing it is more for vegetable gardens, but it has some great things in it you might find helpful.
Letha, I don't know how it is as a port of call, but there is a beautiful Island in the Bahamas called Harbour Island. It is small, just off of North Eluethera, and can only be reached by boat. It has a nice harbor side, and the other side has gorgeous pink sand beaches! I went there on my honeymoon mannnny years ago, and just loved it...
love and hugs to everyone! Jennifer/Eiluna

Friday again.........gosh, I know I keep saying it, but just where do the weeks go!? It is truly Summer here but for how long, who knows *S* best make the most of it. My greenhouse is blooming and I am so thrilled to be able to use it again, just pottering about is a real bonus *VBS* The garden is looking a picture too, with Lilac and Laburnum just in flower, Wisteria also.....and of course those endearing Bluebells. I finished the book I was completely engulfed in, only to be very upset at the end *L* I won't give away spoilers, but was very disappointed. How funny we are becoming attached to these fictional characters! On to the next one.....Harlam Coban - The Woods *L* Dearest Eiluna, I sincerely wish your Mother a full and speedy recovery, it is such a horrid time for you I am sure, but let us hope things settle and very soon. *Biggly Hug for you* Sending love and hugs to all who are struggling with 'Knots' of any size. Look for that inner strength and courage you know is there. Stay safe and well all and enjoy the new weekend whatever the season or weather.

Not summer here by any stretch of the imagination, but we've had a few of those benign and glorious spring days, the kind that remind you why you live here afterall. So pretty . . even without anything blooming quite yet. Cute little smilie, Dream! I vote lets only allow knots of that sort (hammocks) for a day or so?! I haven't gotten one free moment of daylight yet to putter in my gardens. Hoping this weekend to get potatoes and kohlrabi planted. Not that anyone needs to work hard in order to take a nap? *grins* Knots, yes. Ours is holding yet here. I took a turn at my mother-in-law's hospital room to keep watch Wednesday night. Her family does not want her alone at any time as she received the kind of news no one wants to ever hear, but she is so far defying the odds and some doctor's expectations. There are always spots of light in these times, and so many memories to gather. Eiluna, thanks so much for the recommendation! Sounds quite romantic! My heart goes with you as you journey through your own hospital tapestry with your mother's health issues. I hope you are granted moments to share your heart with her.

A quick shout out from, St Louis. The weather is horrible, but Bills parents are wonderful. We went to the wedding yesterday and it was beautiful, reminded me so much of my own wedding day. Strange, I have been to two weddings since, but this was the one that touched me most. Letha and Eiluna, I will keep you both in prayers for your mothers and mothers in laws health, and for strength during this situation. Dream,.. may the knots you have to work in be only enhancing the tapestry of your life. We will be home by the end of the week, hopefully with enough boxes unpacked to manage to live a semi normal life and the internet back up. I miss you guys.
Be loved and blessed, Eva

*hugs Eva* I sometimes think that's one of the nicest reasons to attend weddings ~ a reminder your own. My best wishes for settling into your new home! (oh, and remember "Remy"? He doesn't live far from where the worst of the storms hit Sunday morning. I've not heard yet if he's ok, and am fretting a bit)
Belated wishes for a very Happy Mother's Day to any and all mothers, or anyone who ever had one. *smiles* My delightful offspring gifted a long-yearned-for Zune, and the day was brilliantly sunny and beautiful here . .
Ours will forever be bittersweet, as we gathered to plan the finer details of my mother-in-law's funeral. It's been very healing to have the laughter of the little ones to coax us out of the heaviest aching, and remember all the blessings we've been granted.

It's been far too long since I've actually logged in and shared a few things with y'all. Life has surely been busy here in the desert SW, but I do stop by now and then just to see what's going on with ya's.
I've changed my user name to my OOC name as I don't play Amyra anymore. So you'll have to put up with me as Pensive.. -winks-
I can picture your backyard and garden, Dream. Seems like it was just yesterday when Eva, Daniel and I were there and yet at the same time, feels like a lifetime ago. Fond, fond memories.
Enjoy spring wherever you are. Be well and God Bless!

Pensive, we love to see you in any guise *hugs* One day perhaps we will all enjoy my garden together again *S* Such lovely memories I keep of that short time.
Eva, such a busy but exciting time awaits you all there as you settle into your new home. In a way I envy you, and yet I am so glad I am settled here, perhaps too much so *L* but home is where the heart is *S*
Letha my heart goes out to you all in your grief. Such times I do know are incredibly emotional, but they have such beautiful moments to cherish as memories surface and are spoken of together. I wish you all peace in your hearts and know that time will make it easier eventually. Stay strong my friend. *hugs*
Super to see more names here, Ghost it is always lovely when you slip in *VBS* I hope you feel welcomed here and perhaps may share more of your time with us.
My days have been busy, those knots being sewed in quite tidily, amazingly creating some unusual but rather pleasing new patterns. One never knows what good may come from bad, but sometimes it does *VBS* The garden blooms and my greenhouse is full of seedlings, the first time in several years, I had forgotten just how much pleasure I get from it all *L* simple things........simple things.
Wishing you all happy hearts and lots of smiles as the week progresses. We are expecting some rain tonight for the next few days, actually a welcome sight after highs of 26C! Love and Hugs to all. xxxxx

Joseph is sitting on my lap, so I can blame him on any typo's! *G* Anyhow, I am back and the internet is back up. Yay! Wonderful indeed to see so many familiar names. Lovely weather, Dream. Here it is getting hot, hot and hotter. THe garden is blooming beautifully. I have something in my garden that is called confederate Jasmine, which smells heavenly now that we are back.

We have Jasmine here, both winter and summer varieties and the smell is rather amazing. Smells and aromas of flowers was the order of the day on Sunday when we took a picnic to Leonardslee Gardens. www.leonardsleegardens.com/We are so lucky to have several large estates nearby to simply take in the surroundings, and Sunday was just perfect. Even with quite a few people there it was still peaceful and quiet enough to hear the birds and just enjoy the atmosphere of this amazing place. A firm favourite for years now I was determined to walk about and now have muscle pains I never realised I had muscles in *LOL* a great day out, highly recommended! We also took time out to check the beach hut and make ready for the amazingly glorious summer we hope for *L* but I shall not be holding my breath! It was nice enough to just sit a while and enjoy the ocean, I always leave feeling refreshed and fulfilled, until my next seaside fix! Hoping all are well......especially Eliuna's Mum and others coping with grief or problems. Nice to see Rayven's name again! Hope you visit again soon. Love and hugs to all.....with sunshine and smiles. xxxx

I am, what I have never been in my life, on a diet. *munches on spinach* I was very happy with the way I was losing weight after Joseph was born, until the last month. With the move and everything, we have LIVED on junk food and cola. The result was not pretty. I probably would have tried taking it off slowly, but the royal husband has gained quite a bit since our little Joseph was born, mostly because he did not have time to exercise and I had less time to make nutritious and balanced meals. So we are ding a one week detox diet. It's a healthy aproach in which you can eat as much as you want each day, but only of certain foods. There is a healthy soup that you can eat as much as you want of every day, and then there are certain foods. Only, it is day two and I CRAVE whatever I can not have. Still, it is worth it since I know what I am flushing out of my system. Plus it is only for one week.... I will let you know how it worked after sunday.

Day four of the diet, and by this morning I had lost five pounds. Yay! If I can hold on to the weekend and not cheat, the diet says I should have lost between ten and seventeen pounds. After that we just go to healthy eating. We just wanted to give the system a bit of a jump start. The royal husband has already lost about ten pounds and we both just FEEL better. Today was spend going to visit the neighbours, unpacking some of the stuff. Tomorrow the tv guy will come to give us dish network and the exterminators come to hopefully take care of the bees nest in the garden. By now the hydranga's also are blooming. This morning I was watching Joseph crawl all over the floor and I happened to look out of the window to see a cardinal, a sparrow and a squirrel all within a few square feet of eachother eating. On the less positive side a few days ago I saw a SNAKE on our driveway. I admit it was not big and probably harmless but it still was a SNAKE! UGh!

*just sending out big hugs to everyone* My mom arrived yesterday from Belgium, which is quite good since I have slept about four hours in two nights. It wasn't even Joseph. I just could not sleep! Tomorrow we will celebrate memorial day at Hilton Head, and we will be back in town on thursday. This should be Joseph's mfirst time visiting the sea. I hope he will find as much joy there as you do, Dream! Beren is also such a sea person. I think I am more a meadow person... I like the sea though, nice for a walk along the beach. Eiluna, much strength send to you, as well as to Letha! And Dream, may every knot be a nice bouillon knot in that tapestry, making a beautiful rose!

Woman goes to doctors, as she blushes she says to the doctor she has a rash..er..down below...the doctor asks How many times a year do you do it'? Two she explained...the doctor replies...thats rust not a rash A man is sent to jail, as the screw checks him he finds him hanging by his feet....What are ya doin he asks...I am trying to kill myself..the screw says most people hang themselves by the neck....the prisoner replies, I tried that I couldnt breath ;D I shall save some for June..LOL not long to wait for that month...I sincerely wish all the very best and hope to catch up with y'all soon (a lil bit of native tongue there for our US cousins) Love and Huge Hugs for A/all Rep
