The news here is floods... water..water and sitll more water.. there has been over twenty inches of rain in less that two weeks... and I am fine, but so many are not... and it coouldn't have come at a worse time.. people are just strapped beyond their means everywhere. Anway way... I have been teaching cooking.. to dye for and all kinds of other fun things.. working with herbs and spices.... and enjoying life as much as I am allowed to!!!!!!!! * smiles*.. AND Someone please.. let me know when you will be in the room...I need to roleplay while my mind is still somewhat in tact... and Blessing to all of you on this Soltise! Hugs to all

Wonderful to read your post, Stina! Each time you come in, you leave behind a smile on my face. There is such optimism, such love for life in every single one of your posts, it always makes me feel like having that extra piece of chocolate, or that deep belly laugh: afterwards my heart is always a bit lighter. This is a little picture of my little busy man on his first time in the pool: I have not yet found time for crafts again, but I have managed to go back to cooking nice meals in the evening. It makes me feel so much more creative. I wish I could attend one of Stina's lessons. Hoping the water receeds sooner rather than later! Send some of that rain here, we can use it, Eiluna, I will keep your mother in my prayers!!

*Chuckling* You can't beat a good old English Cuppa Stina.......a dash of milk in first, warm the pot, one spoon of tea or a teabag per person, and one for the pot! Stir it twice in both directions and allow to steep *L* that means wait 'till it's a goodly colour and strong enough. Then enjoy whilst still nice and hot. Dunking a bickie or two is also quite acceptable! Not chocolate though because that melts and spoils the tea taste! Wishing you a wonderful Tea Party! You always make me smile, definitely your lust and passion for life should never cease dear lady!
Eva many thanks for the e-card, thinking of you amongst pansies with your family is a very nice thought. Happy days to you all.
I am off again for yet another little holiday.......shall be home again by the end of the week. Happy and safe days to all and warm blessings for the Summer Solstice. xxx

*chuckles* A nice little biscuit, I believe. Oohh... strawberry jam! I love strawberry jam. I love all homemade jam actually. Today I made my first crockpot lasagne, which turned out pretty well. The recipe needs a tiny bit of work (anyone have any hints on getting the cheese just right?) But all in all, I am pretty pleased with it. We have our first dinnerparty soon, since we had Joseph and I am trying to figure out how I can prepare dinner, keep Joseph from attacking the guests shoes and be a charming hostess at the same time... *L* Tomorrow I experiment with a dressing: lime, ginger, honey and orange juice. Can't be bad can it? Oh, and I started to crochet again, one row at a time, but hey... it's a start. Ooohhh... and big news, I got a skype phone for my anniversary. We exchanged presents a bit early since we won't be actually together on our anniversary. *sniff* Can you believe I will soon be married TWO whole years? *G*

Two years already???OOOOOOh Dear dear me.... Eddie.. but you have certainly accomplished alot!...OH that dressing sounds wonderful, let me know how it turns out. I would love to try it!...The kids just made a dressing using the fresh strawbeery jam... a little balsamic vinegar, lemon, olive oil, salt and pepper... oh an some fruit juices left over from the fruit we stuck in the salad. We used greens from my garden and when the kids heard we were making this they stuck up their noses... to make a long story short.. they ate the whole huge bowl..THEY LOVED IT. I am sure that will makes a lot of moms happy.
We had out tea today, the kids waited on their grandmothers..papernts and friends..it was wonderful! We had three kids on tea, the one the kids liked seemed to be the one the adults liked too. They wore aprons, and carried baskets filled with fresh buns hot from the over, sweet breads...cookies..fruit pizza and cookies. The kids were actually tired when it was over, and or so many reasons it was a huge success.
Dinner Party...? and I have never made lasagne in the show cooker... hum... for a dinner party I recomend swiss steak as it can be prepared way ahead of time..... and Joseph will be fine.... everyone will want to hold him and entertian him while you get things ready!
Hello Elunia!..Hello Dream!...Hello Letha! .... ... hello to EVERYONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ok.. a bisquit...? That isn't telling me much... is that like a cookie? hahaha...you English lasses.... have some funny but cool ways!...* HUGS*
Talk to you all later.. stay cool..have lemonade...and bickies!! hehe

The dressing turned out quite well: I put it over a salad of spinach, topped with apple and toasted pecans. Yummie. You were right, everyone wanted to play with Joseph. The slowcooker lasagne had the same advantage as your swiss steak and came out very well. I did all the preparation etc in advance. By noon, everything was in the crockpot and all I had to do at dinertime was put the salad together and serve. We had fun, nice long talks before during and after the meal. A lot of people here in the US seem to have forgotten the art of just coming together over a meal to talk. Most people just come, have food and go as soon as desert is served. Weird. Especially when everything else in the South goes nice and easy.
Sounds you had great fun at the teaparty, Stina. Wish I had been there!! I would have loved to see the children with their little aprons and baskets. A few more months and Joseph and I might be able to be together in the garden a bit without him eating every shrub in sight.

How wonderful to return and read of your days! Such fun.....Stina, Bickies are indeed Biscuits, but not those you know as cookies or scones. Some say tea is too wet without one *LOL* I have a beautiful picture in my mind of your Tea Party and also wish I could have been there, such a delightful image, thankyou for sharing your news, it sounds like your days are filled with joy and laughter.......what more could we ask for hmmm My little trip away was lovely, relaxing, good weather and fabulous food! definitely a nice break, but always it is nice to come home again. I am here now until late July when I am off again with my Mum, just the two of us being spoilt in a very nice hotel by the sea.........with a sea view to boot! I am already looking forward to that, and spending some quality time with Mum. My greenhouse and garden are doing well, not much to do there, but dead head and water, and of course gather in my bountifull veggie crops when they are ready *LOL* I am already picking mange tout that taste so delicious! Now I must concentrate on the craft fair later this year, I admit my time has been spent elsewhere, but the next few weeks I shall get my backside into gear *L* It feels so strange here without my eldest who, as I type this is sleeping on the other side of the Atlantic Ocean. He flew off to Canada for 2 weeks, staying with friends and incorporating a road trip that will show him a glimpse of the USA too. What a holiday!! I am missing him already, but vow to keep busy whilst he is away *S* Well, enough waffle, not much else happening over here.......thankfully *L* I need a rest to get over my little holidays *L* Warmest wishes to all for happy and safe days! xxxxx
