Well after several changes in appointment times, finally got there....you all know specialist they tend to over book to get as many patients in as possible so I had to go the week after originally was scheduled. Well I had two choices given to me....
1. Go another six months with the same regiment of medicines double dosed that aren't doing anything in the first place and then surgery if it doesn't
or
2. Surgery
I chose surgery don't know just couldn't take another six months after dealing with pain of this since November of 2007...just looked at that option and went you know I'll be a heck of alot more cranky with a four year old hyper one at that running around with more drops and more creams etc to place in. Meds he doubled till surgery making me sleepy enough....hate to see all of it doubled!
Well normally you wait a month or more for surgery but swear the fates were smiling while in the office. Got checked before damage would become permanent that the injury caused that found a natural defect in my eyes thats very rare and someone who was to have surgery on the 24th first appointment of the day canceled right when I walked up to schedule a tentative date for mine.
Tentative meaning he gave me two days to read over the paperwork he gave me at the appointment and then called me with the final time for it on Friday. Don't know how I managed that short way but someones smiling down.
So Surgery is on Oct. 24th at 8:30am EST. Supposed to be 1-4 days bed rest but mostly the first day not wanting to see anything etc as all he said I'll want to do is sleep to get rid of the pain. Will have a clear disk that looks and feels like a contact lense inserted over the surgery area. After reading through the sites the doctor gave me on the web feel like I'm in something out of star trek after studying the procedure. But long as nothing goes wrong I should be able to see like normal after the first or second day of healing....but how long I"m out of commission depends on the pain and nothing develops.
Disk is to be taken out next day or no more then three so the eye cells don't regrow over it...as a contact style lense is best bandage they can do right over an eye.

sorta back...surgery went extremely well even though was awake for it and it reminded me of scenes out of a horror movie even though didn't feel a thing...till afterwords -lol- yes I can laugh about the pain I had now....I was given no pain meds so was interesting
Basically were I'm at right now is the contact bandage is out due to the cuts from the laser have healed enough that I can see without it and without the severe pain of razors trailing over the eye lid....
But where I'm at right now is my eyes are like a new borns the sensitive lights and colors etc basic way the eye doctor who did the surgery described it...is that my eyes are weak and have to work their way back up so not to over strain them etc...-leaves hugs for all- sorry missed the get together but still don't fully ready yet to be on for huge amounts of time...
