Promised Edie would post more but rt for me right now isn't the greatest that I hardly get around to any message boards anymore.
Bright Colors kill my eyes is the problem..specially with computers...see a few months back I thought had just gotten something in my eyes or had an infection when I had the flu and this is a warning to anyone even though the nurse tells you over the phone it's just infection that the eye doctor doesn't need to see you just make an appointment anyways
Somehow we believe my son during rough housing time since he's four now accidentally scratched the surface of my eye which when it heeled it didn't heal flat...the layer of skin over the eye looks like someone pushed their thumb down on it and left their singiture....they have tried everything they could to avoid surgery even new meds etc since close to december...am on last resort meds right now...see they wouldn't call for surgery if the in dent that wasn't popping up, wasn't over the pupil in my right eye...
So right now am on two more eye drops to help with the suction and dryness over the area one has a very high dosage of pain killers in it to numb my eye, so I don't rub it and it numbs the nerves so I get rid of the pain that feels like someones stabbing right through the eye...
I go in on Wednesday for my doctors appointment to see if the new drops and disc he put in and came out a two weeks ago did any good...if they didn't they I schedule with an eye surgeon so I don't go blind from whats going on
Surgery is basic but will have an eye patch on after if I get it done...basicly they numb your eyes and keep your eye wide open as you are awake for this, while a laser burns off the first level of the eye completely flat ....to make the cells regenerate themselves to grow again and heal....So I truly apologize for not stopping by more just getting harder and harder to set in front of the screen...when I do it has to be in a pitch black room...

am about when I can -leaves hugs for all- dealing with what comes next which right now isn't the greatest due to the one med made me sick due to having to much in that my body had a bad reaction to it...got to love when pharmacist don't describe things throughly on how to apply certain meds so it doesn't go straight through your tear ducts and into your stomach...so I mostly have been sleeping of late ...but slowly healing so far I'm avoiding surgery since the doctor sees a slight change he wants to put it off with more meds...
Sorry for not posting sooner but with the medicine mess up I've been sleeping alot..hope everyone else well

Glad to hear that you have been able to avoid surgery. I am amazed that the pharmacist was so negligent. Usually here they are so overprotective they would explain three times how you need to put a bandaid on if you came to buy one. Hoping the side effects wane quickly!

very evil well there is sorta a silver lining and sorta not one -sighs- well got to be honest and up beat with myself that they caught it in time...there are five percent in the world that their eye lens has to go through transplants like a regular body organ..which they got to match all the stuff and put someone on a waiting list etc....we all knows how that goes from movies and TV shows etc...
Well I am in the 1 percent of that five percent that the condition is even rarer to...some of the five percent that have this condition and can't remember the name of it but it's where a wound in the lense opens up over time and caves in as it's healing and never really does heal right making a person 20- 80 percent blind...but there is a 1 percent in that group that have it worse since the item develops right over the pupil so they can't fully live with it....
Mine is over the pupil, I will constantly have darker glasses now that I'm "supposed" to wear over my glasses when out in sunlight etc. As well consent medicines to keep in my eyes to keep them from getting dry and hurting badly...they believe this is the cause for my migraines that I get by the time I go to bed cause of the pain the eyes are over tired and with eye pain the nerves go straight to the brain etc...
My prognosis is close to 20/30 years down the road they will be cutting out part of my eye lense and putting in a transplanted one from someone who donated their eyes...but hey if it helps down the road it helps since this condition only gets worse...right now barely on to RP since bright reds etc effect my eyes to the point I want to rip them out completly...but know I'm with all of you in spirit and my next appointment is tomorrow morning...had the surgeon my eye Doctor called not caught it...I would of been blind from the surgery...so there is a silver lining in there somewhere that they caught it

The thought occurred to me that perhaps in time with the progresses in medicine there will be something developed that will offer you more relief and even be able to reverse your damage. One can only hope . . and pray! . . to that end, and wish you greater comfort than you're experiencing now.

new update...well looks like I didn't avoid going to the specailist....I go on Oct 1. Tomorrow, Things appeared when they were doing my check ups that shouldn't of so got to see if he wants to burn off part of the lense or another procedure or other medicine.
Already got six regiments of eye-drops to do daily so this should be fun....basicly I went from nearly fully having my site back to only having part of my right eye thats pitch black can't see anything out of.
Got at first was from the rare medical disorder that I have with my eyes that will need a transplant for in the future to their not sure whats going on so it's on to see the surgeon. Everyone fears the unknown so wish me luck, since for once I will admit I'm scared out of my mind.
I don't know when I'll be able to check the boards but going to pm Lady Edfeil with an e-mail address as well snail mail that way any old time friends here that want to keep in touch can so your not waiting for my next update.
