Well............what can I say *L* December is finally here.....although it just doesn't seem a year ago. I really am becoming quite afraid that time slips by far too quickly, and with me having only the one speed *LOL* Not a goodly combination, but I do get there in the end. I must write my Christmas cards this week!! I think the last posting for overseas is ver soon too! Lists...lists and more lists methinks *S* I am sure everything will fall into place as it does every Christmas....just have to persevere. I would imagine Christmas for little Joseph this year will be quite magical Eva *S* Enjoy! It's cold here still...not like you have it over there in the USA but cold enough *L* and they say perhaps a white Christmas too....well.....we shall see *L* I must get on here as my new day begins....and hope to find time to play a little again this week......if time and reality allow of course. Leaving much and for all as we begin this season of joy and goodwill. Be well and safe. xxx P.S. It's NOT Robin's Birthday today by the way *L*

(*grins* For a split second, I thought "December" was a new character you were welcoming!) Oh this is shaping up to be a very busy month, as usual. I've added to it by agreeing to be the costume director for the Christmas pageant in a few weeks, so it's crunch time this week! And me so out of practice with a needle! lol
But how I love this season . . . we have the tree up and house decorated, a little less than before, in accord with an effort at living with more minimalism. The lights and ornaments this year are all white/crystal/silver . . it really is enchanting. *grins* My two little gentlemen will have to have explanation about not batting them about too vigorously, as will the foster kitty I hope to have by the actual holiday.
*laughs* and Robin only gets one birthday a year like everyone else *winks*

Not feeling too great. I am feverish and cold and just... not feeling well. Send up a thought for me? Todlers don't really take it into account that mommy isn't feeling well.

No, they certainly don't . . I seem to remember that they almost seemed more needy when I was least able to find the energy to give! 'Tis the season for illness, and sub-zero temps just seem to make it all the more tempting to remain indoors. So much for all the free time I'd hoped to have online this weekend, lol. I bit off more than I could chew in thinking I could handle 5 donkey costume hoods and tails, and 7 goat hoods, tails, beards and horns . . along with one angel, one more crown (those were fun!) Magi gifts, and more I'm forgetting . . Here's the crowns I've already made.

December is keeping us all busy it seems, like it does every year. *G* Do not worry, january will see us all with more time on our hands to meet up. I still like the idea of trying to gether around christmas time. Just a come as you are. Does anyone have a suggestion for a date? My time in Belgium is pretty packed with visits to friends and relatives. It is strange to live so far away from them now that I only see them once a year.... Things here are going well. I did gain a bit of weight over the last month of travelling, but am trying to shed that as soon as possible by eating healthy again. Luckily I actually LIKE healthy food. It's just that unhealthy foods quite often are much easier to prepare.

As I remember I ate healthy food once, it was a apple a whole one it was too, it didn't go down too well with the bacon, egg and sausage though. I have brought my first present of the yule tide period, it was for my better half, come to think of it the last four have been too..mm must remember to buy for someone else too as all of my four pounds and fifty pence allowance will be gone!

*loves the twinkle in his eye* 'Tis the season . . hopefully I got my usual pre-Christmas "sick" out of the way now, losing yesterday to a high fever. Of course it was one of those days I really shouldn't have missed work, so much going on. The nice thing about a fever is that it makes everything sweet taste horrid! Great . . now I'm craving bacon! *laughs*

I do hope you are feeling better Letha, and please do show us more of your delightful costumes! How busy you are and such cold weather!! brrrrrr I have been watching your weather with concern, all of you over there........we just had floods again, and quite alarming to come across a roadway completely turned into a river! I was once again designated driver on Saturday night.......a family 21st Birthday Bash, and I have to say it was a scary ride home, but all safe and sound thankfully. I did feel so old at the party *LOL* how all those little ones grow! I have just enjoyed a cup of coffee and indulged in a very sweet pastry from the supermarket! I was there at 8am *L* and definitely did the right thing as I was able to wander the isles with no screaming babies or annoying children running about *L* gosh I sound like bah humbug *L* still it was nice to mull over the offers and different Christmas fare. I have my 'hams' to cook......one possibly plain, the other a tried and very tested Nigella Lawson recipe with red wine, simply scrumptious I must say. I also have all my ingredients for cranberry sauce, chutney and mincemeat for my pies. Busy busy all week methinks.........thank goodness the wine was on offer *LOL* I do truly hope all are well as the season continues.......dare I say I have been very careful to avoid germs thus far.......and making sure I do not overtire myself......all good to date, so here's hoping I continue to enjoy my days. It has been several years since I was able to do so much and throw myself into the preparations, so I am really feeling contented. I even decorated the tree yesterday and helped to make our home even more cosy. *Begins to sing* Ohhhhh Christmas Tree....oh Christmas Tree!! la la la Ohhhhh and just before we left for the party Saturday, Father Christmas came around on his sleigh with carols and lights......the Rotary club do this every year and I always get a hug *L* I did tell him yes I have been good *LOL* Ohhhh my *VBS* It's those little things that just make one's heart smile. I keep thinking of little Joseph and my Cousin's little boy of 3 now, and how they will enjoy it all.........joy oh joy *chuckles* I do remember being up at 3am one year *L* wishing you Mum's luck with that! Happy and safe days to all......with an extra measure of Christmas Spirit!

*smiles warm* Oh, Dream I needed that post filled with all the christmas cheer! I'm not as much in a bad mood, but I've been so busy packing and dreading a 22 hour trip with a todler, that I haven't had much christmas spirit these last few days. But... all the suitcases are packed. The baggies with snacks are wrapped, and I am ready to go tomorrow. Sort of. If anyone wants to teleport us to Belgium, I'm willing. I will get my christmas spirit when I am there, I think! Though we took some extra cute Joseph pictures today. Our christmas cards will be 'after new year's cards" this year. *LOL* I gave up on trying to get those done in time. BTW, your card gave me a wonderful smile in a stressful day! Thank you so much for that.

Floods! Wow . . I'd send you some of this cold and you could skate right across them, Dream . . Tonight's predicted to be -30 F, even without the windchill factored in. I've got frost growing on the inside of the wall on the northwest corner of my house!! But the blizzard sculpted great flowing waves and peaks that curl around the trees and buildings like silken scarves tossed recklessly around a Lady's shoulders in a spring breeze . . there's snow plastered on every possible surface . . even sideways and upside and under things . . so pretty . . I think I would like to hire you to cook for me this season! *hugs* And Edie, do travel safely and peacefully across the miles, and enjoy every second of your time back home! (Please pass along holiday greetings to your lovely mother!)

Safe travels to you all Eva..........I am sure Christmas will be extra special this year with your family and the little Joseph Gosh Letha I can only imagine a scene like that......you paint the perfect picture as long as I am looking from the inside! I would just have to hibernate even more if we experienced weather that cold! Today is just perfect weatherwise......glorious sunshine and clear blue skies....reminds me of Summer *L* Perhaps I can get some washing dry finally! Yesterday was so foggy all day, rather a strange day but I made my mincemeat and today will pot it up into jars for any who want some *L* I make so much of everything it has to be given away....still that's Christmas to me and I do so enjoy that aspect of it all. I still have to make chutney, ice the cake and make cranberry sauce and the actual mince pies. The mincemeat is supposed to sit for a couple of weeks before use but me being me I was a tad late *S* but it's all good! I am sure it will be fine. Both hams are sliced and packed in the freezer, I did keep some out for last night's dinner and it went down a treat *VBS* I find it tastes just as good after it has been frozen, and here is a link to Nigella's recipes for any who fancy trying them. She is a beautiful woman, rather tasty as my Husband says *L* I am sure he only watched her TV show because of that and not because he is interested in cooking *chuckles* www.bbc.co.uk/food/recipes/database/aromaticspicedham_84672.shtmlwww.nigella.com/Repsol I received your card today and I have to say thus far it is my favourite picture......it deserves to be framed and admired all year round! Thanks so much *VBS* I think the best worded card was from Pensive and Daniel so I shall share those with you in the Christmassy thread *S* Wednesday......hmmm........so this time next week will be Christmas Eva !! Don't want to worry you all *LOL* and I know my poor Husband is STILL shopping *L* Fa la la la la .........happy and safe days to all.

Traveling intercontinental... with a stomach flu. ENough said. My husband needs to be elevated to sainthood for standing bravely by my side and taking care of Joseph.
