I loved the incredibles, thought it was hilarious. I have some movies that I would recommend for the ladies especially ....grab your men and watch these two movies. one is called Chocolat and the other is called like water for chocolate. www.imdb.com/title/tt0241303/www.imdb.com/title/tt0103994/I saw like Water for chocolate in 1997 with English subtitles and think it a very touching movie. And saw chocolat when it first came out. There on a nice chocolatty note!! Why am I suddenly craving chocolate?? hmmmm Horror movies sorry I get scared...need a strong hand to squeeze or shoulder to hide behind. I saw maybe 10 minutes of the original Alien though the guy I watched it with never complained *L* ...so if a horror is recomended I need a volunteer to watch it with

Not a scary movie buff myself here, but will watch them if I have someone watching it with me. I'd like to recommend "The Notebook". Wonderful movie, or at least I thought so.

*S* I enjoyed The Notebook also Rayven, though I did not like one tiny thing (will tell you when I see you as do not want to spoil this otherwise lovely movie by giving the plot away), I will warn again it is a chick flick *wink*
Made me think of another movie told in a story fashion that is old but very sweet and again a period movie though what period in time? *LOL* Movie is "The Princess Bride"

OOohhh... good choices!
I've been wanting to see Finding Neverland... they were out of it when I last went to the Video Rental store... and I also want to see The Notebook... when I'm ready for a good cry... *L*
I loved Chocolat and Like Water for Chocolate... both wonderful... and both had a theme of keeping to your true self, and independance...
Loved The Incredibles, too... it had much more depth than I expected...
And The Princess Bride is good too!
I recently saw The Forgotten. That's a good thriller for you, Dream....

Ooooooooooooo...looks like that is going to be a good movie...~hugs the Dreamy one~... Still wondering though what the first movie is we are all going to share and then get together after and hang out and discuss...we can all take turns picking the next movie...so on and so forth...since Alita brought it up, I say she gets first pick...then she gets to pick who picks the next movie...just my two cents worth...or should I say two coppers...~winks and grins~ Lead on Alita...

*hugs Dream tight* you did not get it wrong that is the movie I choose in the post I posted as I rushed off to work. The reasons why I picked this movie is that it takes a much loved and familiar Peter Pan and gives you a sort of history of the gentleman who wrote it and the family that inspired him. It has a mix of love story, drama, how people interact - especially with those they love (in some instances the way we interact with those closest to us is timeless through the ages). As well as show views of the movie the power of imagination. The movie is new enough that I expect it to be available in most countries around the world (I considered how some older movies might be harder to get at a video shop in some countries, whilst more modern movies seem to be better distributed....please correct me if I am wrong with that assumption any of you who have problems getting movies). Also I thought it was a movie that both the men and women could enjoy *s* Kate Winslet is in this movie and on a side note I thought I would tell all about another period movie she was in that I enjoyed. It was called 'Quills.' Gentleman this is not a chick flick but a intense drama that is quite stomach turning in some places. www.allwatchers.com/Topics/Info_3595.asp

Well, I havent seen Finding neverland yet.. but I will... I promice. However, I did go to see Hitchhikers guide to the galaxy... all I can say is
" I am so depressed, who woudl think a robot with a brain as big as a planet would be escorting aliens to the bridge."
It was hilarious.. worth going to if you have read the book..if you havent, it mayh seem a bit twisted...but still will have you laughing your arse off.

I watched it...... and ate half a bag of Revels What a lovely film..........and so beautifuly presented...especially those darling boys! I particulary enjoyed the scenery, a real insight to those days, and much has not changed at all. I shall not divulge more incase others have not seen it yet.... but I did cry at the end. Great choice Alita.......... will wait to see what we do now.
